The Defense is very, very encouraging over the last 3 games...... Herbert and the Offense will step up when needed ... Chargers could go deep into the playoffs.

Must admit I'm not really impressed by the offense. They weren't particularly good yesterday nor last week against really bad teams. Grinding out bad wins is a sign of strength but I'm happy the defence has really stepped up of late. The run game isn't anything to write home about and there is a lot of room for improvement overall.
Really happy they are in the playoffs as anything can happen but they need to step up a gear or two to ad*****.

What's the problem, sir? We still have a Lombardi in the building, no one has taken that away.Originally posted by foreigner View PostI should be happy that the Chargers are in the playoffs but something feels wrong.
Dont get me wrong, I'm very happy our Bolts are in the playoffs, but there is something not clicking right.

got damn I don’t want this guy getting praise for the shitshow he put out week after week and the wins we got were in spite of his horrible play calling. I saw him up in the booth and he was blinking a mile a minute like he knew his ass was on the line. He kind of looked like someone I know and is also a person that sucks at their job and who is in over their head, and happens to be an account manager which makes no sense. If there was justice in this world, both of these people would be fired.Originally posted by wu-dai clan View PostStaley goes for it on 4th and 3.
A few plays later he says never mind,
gimme the 15 yard Figgie.
Then, in the ultimate power move,
Staley gives Deano a game ball,
squelching Sean Payton rumors forever.
This is genius level stuff.
Do not be surprised when you see Lombardi hoist the Lombardi,
a few chapters later in our story.
BTW,
I did give you the answers to the final exam,
a month ago to the day.

There’s nothing to get or that it’s ahead of it’s time with Lombo ball. He’s simple a horrible coach that needs to be firedOriginally posted by Midwestbolt View Post
I want to get it. I really do. But about the time I think I get it, it like whoop, you missed it. Almost like the Norv offense.
Its just too far ahead of its time.
like a good Frank Zappa song.

Even before he got ejected when they first threw the flag, Derwin was hitting his shoulder pads as to say he didn’t use his helmet. Maybe accidentally after the initial hit but it didn’t deserve an ******** or even a penalty. But with the pussified rules you can barely touch the QB now or it’s roughing the passer LMAOOriginally posted by jaguarmanftype View PostProps to Derwin regardless. That hit was technically legal (at least the first point of contact to the shoulder area), and it harkens back to the days of 70s-90s football. Derwin appeared to be more amped for this game than I can remember -- more than likely him seeing the physical and aggressive play of the defense without him rubbed off on him, and he came to lay the wood. Brief shots of him out there before the ejection, you can really see he wanted to put his hands on someone today.

We were speculating that the long passes were scrapped earlier in the season mainly because of Herberts ribs which I was adamant about benching him instead of playing him hurt. But Herbert isn’t hurt anymore so that excuse of not having the long pass play because he’s hurt is a joke.Originally posted by Charge! View PostThere is a chart on ESPN showing all of Herberts pass locations.... all were less than 20 yards and most less than 10...... Lombardi is wasting that talented arm
