How come Spanos is such a big issue this season?

You're right, when Spanos hired Norv there were quite a few posters defending the hire. Some dug up old posts in an attempt to make the naysayers look bad.

I don't think people have been fond of the Spanos family since they took over. But when they are suddenly trying hard to move to LA, what reaction would you expect fans to have?

Back in 2013, they announced that the team was starting a new era with a lot of open/noncombative communication....but now there's almost dead silence from the team. When was the last time you read or heard anything from any of the Spanoses or anybody from the front office, like Telesco? Not even Homer Henne mentions any of them in any articles.

It's like they're trying really hard to be invisible (or Dean just doing his darndest to hide his sons from scrutiny...even though they are now supposed to be the voice and face of their franchise)

Fans are always going to bitch about the players, the coach, the GM, the owner when things go wrong. That's what fans do and there's been plenty of that directed at Spanos.

However the act of stealing the team away is as evil as it gets.

I don't care about 4-12 years. Been there, done that. Bring on the next season. But take my team away? All hell is going to break loose.

So before that announcement everything was cool with Spanos this was the first time that he showed how much he sucks? Because the stadium issue is such a shocker. No one saw it coming.

What happened is SD never took any of the Spanos family threats seriously until it was too late.
