I expect the offense (and JH) to be better with Moore at the helm . . . . . . . IMO they're going to have to carry the defense. Herbert MUST avoid down games . . . . .

Average D won the SB. We don't have to be perfect, just avg. Which means we need offensive scoring.

Year 3 will reveal if Staley has the right stuff or not. If you look at our last two coaches year 3 was the season where their systems and culture proved they didn't have the right stuff and they were exposed.

I think if after this draft TT doesn't make good picks and address key areas, and we hear what Staley has to say about the picks we'll have a good idea if this is the beginning of the end for this HC and GM.

My early guess is sweep LV, split with each KC and Den for 4-2 div.
Hopefully Staley's D will get to play more games together this year.

a reason to be confident in Staley to finish 4-2 in the division. .

Thats what I am intrigued by - what do those two think the key areas of the roster are for the draft. By Friday night, will have a very good idea

When was the last time we swept both the Raiders and Broncos? Without looking it up I don't remember. Doing this would get us
to at least 4-2 in the division. Which is going to be very important this year because the rest of the schedule looks tougher than last
year. And if we want to beat out KC and play a PO game at home it is imperative.

I imagine the Donkies will go 9 - 8 next year with Payton.
Like us, they had a lot of injuries....along with lackluster coaching,

They might even be 2nd in the division next year.

I, personally, wouldn't be happy with that. I've said this many times before: A Super Bowl VICTORY is the only definition of success, at least in my book. We've had plenty of great games, great seasons, deep playoff runs, even a SB appearance, in my 40+ years as a fan, so to me the only thing left to accomplish is actually winning a SB. How much satisfaction do you think the 16-0 Patriots felt after losing to the Giants in SB #whatever?
