Yeah I'm not expecting good news about this. This is why they drafted QJ, and now QJ needs to start showing up and playing like he was a 1st round draft pick.

This organization knows how to find WRs. They know what they're doing when it comes to the position and the other ball positions. One thing I can give credit to the franchise for.

Keenan surpassed Lance Alworth today to become the franchise's 2nd all time reception yardage leader with 9869 yds. He needs 1973 yards to pass Antonio Gates. His 828 receptions is 2nd most also, he needs 128 to pass Gates. Next week he could pass 10,000 yds receiving for his career next week against the Raiders, he only needs 131 yds.

Justin Herbert has completed 3247 yards of passes to Keenan Allen since taking over as the starting QB of the Chargers in week 2 of 2020.

Think about what Herbert has meant for Keenan Allen's career.

Going into 2020 Keenan was probably kind of dubious about what the future held for him playing for the Chargers. He was going from having Philip Rivers his entire career to Tyrod Taylor as his QB, with a rookie on the bench who was an unknown quantity.

In week 1 2020 he had 37 yds receiving from Taylor. Then suddenly Taylor is out and the kid comes off the bench and turns out to be a prodigy and three years later he and the kid have hooked up for more than 3000 yds. What a blessing Herbert and Keenan have been for each other.

QJ will get his shots and Guyton is eligible to come off the IR after the Raider game. The early bye gives him an extra week if he is close.

Ok...so maybe I missed most of the speculation on JC, but does no one think he is getting traded? One thing to not start him, Staley has done it before when he played bad, but we could have used the depth if Vato or Asante went down...healthy scratch? More like head scratcher...Rams did the same with Akers right before he got shipped to the Vikings...just sayin'

Only other explanation, outside of trade, or a complete falling out with staff, would be undisclosed rest for that knee, if he is experiencing tendonitus...very common after that kinda surgery...

His massive contract precludes any trade possibility. Even if they released him his contract is guaranteed through next season and the Chargers would take a substantial cap hit. My guess is that they are not happy with JCJ's performance, attitude, preparation, etc. and that is why he was a healthy scratch. He has not appeared on any of the injury reports and as far as we know he was participating in practices.

Doctor on Youtube thinks it is an ACL injury. Hopefully just a small tear and doesn’t require surgery
