Bosa with the injury probably has limited trade value with the injury - but who knows - I would be letting his agent find out

Trading James would actually lose cap space unless its a post June 1 trade-- not saying its not worth exploring but its probably a long shot

Do you know the ramifications on cutting Bosa cap wise before next season? Does it have to be a trade at this point? Because i cant think of a bigger waste of salary and cap space for what Bosa now contributes. You just cant count on him anymore

If the Chargers release Bosa they would have $22m of dead cap but save $14m - unless its a June 1 release

And Bosa was already on the probably gone list beore the injury - I would let his agent find a trade or release him

Actually looking at Over the Cap this morning (sadly) - to think about next years cap

Mike Williams with the injury if released - saves $20m - maybe they bring him back with incentives
Bosa would save $14m if traded or released - -its time
SJD and Kendricks are close to $10m - they don't bring that much

Who knows about Linsley - he might have to retire

Mack is set to make $23m - not sure they should pay him that - maybe $12-13m with incentives

Sadly the team underperformed and can get rid of dead weight especially with hopefully a new DC

Thanks. Do you mean better to release him before June 1, or after?

I just looked at over the cap usually their tool and if he is a post June 1 cut (or trade) would be worth another $8m for 2024 -- which might not be the worst thing. Either way, I think Joey Bosa with the injury, will be done with the Chargers - he just isn't good enough

Personally, I think if there is a new GM/HC combo - Chargers might want to find a bunch of players on "make-good" contracts, have a good draft. Not go all in yet. I mean, can the defense be any worse and the offense, with a bit of a running game would still be solid.

Officially in last place. Has Staley been fired yet?

Chargers' Joey Bosa gets surprising injury update after leaving field in tears

“X-rays were negative, that is a good indication right there,” Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported. “Does not seem to be an Achilles {injury}, more likely a foot sprain. We'll see how severe, though. He's going to have an MRI today just to determine how long he is going to be out. The reaction was bad; the injury is not always as bad as the reaction.”

Chargers star LB Joey Bosa, who left Sunday's Packers loss in tears after being carted off, actually avoided a worst-case injury scenario

Kahlil Mack or Maxx Crosby probably would have shrugged it off. Helmet tossing drama Queen Bosa acted like he was shot.

I am glad its not an achilles - as that would be a 6 month injury, unless he is named A-ARon
                        Glad its just a sprain
He might have trade market next spring but unless he takes apretty decent pay cut- I just don't think he is worth the money
