I agree for the most part, but I also like Ricardo Mathews.

We could have 44 mil in cap space? That's alot! Maybe we can get 30 or so Vet minimum olinemen to make it through next season!

Isn't Melvin Ingram a free agent, too? I thought 2015 was the last year of his contract.

I think Hairston is a good swing OT, so I would re-sign him.

Also: T Joe Barksdale, QB Kellen Clemens, TE Antonio Gates, TE Ladarius Green, T Jeff Linkenbach, DE Ricardo Mathews,
S Jahleel Addae, DT Damion Square, G-T Kenny Wiggins and WR Dontrelle Inman and Patrick Robinson.

Of all of them, I think I would make Gates and Robinson my highest priorities.

I didn't see Patrick Robinson in the article, but I'd sign him too.

I think Robinson is a must sign he played very well, I think Verrett has proven to be a stud and also an injury risk, Flowers ugh he may not be a starter at this point in his career, so that leave Stevie Williams and Craig Maeger
                .
I mean how many small CB can you have on the roster Verrett, Flower, and Williams all under 5'10"

Barksdale doesn't get a longer leash with me just because he stayed healthy. He's an alright player who would ideally be a swing tackle but other than being healthy he didn't show me anything special this year. He's a guy. At a cap-friendly number, fine.

Gates, Green, Mathews, Robinson, Inman. Addae maybe only bc we're losing Weddle and don't likely have a replacement. Hate Addae's game though. He's just as likely to kill himself or a teammate as he is to kill an opponent.

Barksdale didn't play at an All-Pro level, but I don't think you can undervalue having an OL that can stay healthy for a whole season on this roster. It's also hard to excel when you have 36 different people play next to you over the course of a season. Agree it needs to be at a team-friendly number (ideally every contract would be) but I think Barksdale should be near the top of the list for resigning.

I love that after the last two years we have expectations that any stiff that can survive 16 games should get signed. Sad but unfortunately that's what we "have " to wish for

I'm not saying he should be resigned just because he stayed healthy. All things considered Barksdale had a solid season and I don't know of any FA RT that would be markedly better within the same price range. He is the best option that I can see.
