His position group seemed to be improving the most out of all the defense. I think he will be a step up from Hill. Hope both cordinators will be half as good as Ficken. That dude changed the trajectory of that whole unit
Derrick Ansley named new DC

Still love this promotion - it is going to pay dividends out the wazoo in 2023. Hill was not up for the job, he shrank to a role as sidekick lackey. Ansley will lead men into the pits of hell and emerge victorious.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Truth is, even if the D is bad yet again, I think Kellen Moore masks the D deficiencies with a potent offense and Chargers make the playoffs yet again.

Everybody likes to have 400 passing yards
If you're not able to stop the run on defense, it means nothing

- Not that I believe #28 run D is OK. It isn't. Average or better is.
Pass D and takeaways are the big ones.
Yards are kinda abstract. They depend on where and when. TDs are basic facts.
We were #3 in pass yds, #13 in scoring. I'd rather have points.
I'd like us to score 28+ ppg on avg allow 20 or less average.
