    BUF will lose Devin Singletary.
Ekeler would round out their RB Committee.
There is ample cap room in Western NY after just now Re-Fi-ing Josh Allen and Von Miller.

    I propose Ek, #21, #156 for #27, #59, #91.

Ek is round two value in trade.

    The chart says yes.
We do not play modern football.

      Good take…totally agree

And if we don't trade him and he holds out, then what?

You seem more interested in building the Bills than the Chargers. If they move him it better be to the NFC

I am trying to create a plausible trade scenario, nothing more.

And just what do the Charger brass intend to do with one of the leagues lousier running attacks without their most productive back? He was paid well, but as a number 2 type RB expected to be it all. A stupid ass situation that shouldn’t have been in the first place. Ekeler met the challenge pretty damn well. He’ll probably walk as the Chargers got what they wanted out of him. Trying to pair him with a revolving door of long shot late round RB picks. How’d that work out? Without a suitable replacement of Ekeler’s talents, this team could end up 9-8 this season, if they’re lucky.

No way he holds out and misses checks.
                he's a business man.
he'll end up playing and playing well for another contract elsewhere.
This is all posturing and I don't blame him one bit, but it would be foolish to fold over his bluff.

He would never hold out, it just means the team still controls his destiny in 2024…

no trade scenario is going to net the chargers enough to recoup the lose in production from ekeler being gone…4 round pick at best will be offered…what is that going to do for the team? Unless you think a 4rth rounder or worse is going to score 39 TDs over the next 2 years…

Well we dont really know what the Chargers brass is going to do with this situation. They have yet to respond.

This trade request is very clearly an agents play because negotiations arent going the way he likes in redoing a contract that Ekler signed.

We will have to wait and see how the Chargers respond to this hard ball strategy by Ekler and his agent. It came out of nowhere to most of us , but maybe not to insiders and I dont think Popper was surprised.

But this isnt new, we see RBs continually frustrated with the value of their position in the NFL compared to other positions. They rarely even get drafted in the first 2 rounds anymore

It is because he is a businessman that I could easily seem him holding out until the last 6 games, or whenever he has to report, to get a full year's service.

He will lose game checks and be fined.
