Ekeler got those yards because Joe Lombardi decided correctly Ekeler couldn’t carry the weight of running between the tackles for a full season and passed the ball too much. Ekeler is part of that problem and frankly if we try to repeat what he did again then we are insane.

Ekeler is a good third down back. And not his fault he got so many catches. But his role needs to change - not his fault either - but you are right - the same offense: too many short passes, too many third downs, will not be good.

What is interesting about all this Ekelor drama...he has always seemed like a thoughtful, intelligent young man...I find it hard to believe that: 1.) He doesn't remember how TT deals with strong arm tactics, i.e. Melvin Gordan...and 2.) That he would throw out an empty trade proposition, without having knowledge beforehand that a team covets his services, and would be willing to improve on the Chargers paycheck...
I am not saying that I think Ekelor is gone...but neither am I convinced this is just negotiating/posturing...because this type of "negotiating" doesn't work well with Telesco, and would likely net him little if any increase in salary....just my take.Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB
Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT
