Look, I love Ekeler. This is about circumstances.

Seattle loves to trade down in round 1 for extra picks. If Stroud, Young, Anderson, Carter go 1-2-3-4, I am wondering if we can put together a package and move up to 5.

We could include Ekeler. The goal is to go get Bijan, before the Eagles or whoever. TT remembers Polian trading Marshall Faulk and drafting Edgerrin James.

Does Bijan + Herb put us over the top ? Then go get 'er done.

Draft 2 WR., a 3T DL. Edge is an early draft pick. Tito is DL Kemon Hall is CB + draft pick
      We'll sign UDFAs
Who is Tito and Kemon Hall, never even heard of the guys. Moore play calling is not depth and we don't really have a good blocking TE. The starters at O line
are set, we just don't have very good depth behind them. We have to pray that TT finds some in the draft. UDFA-dumpster diving, sometimes it works great
      most of the time not.

We currently don't have a KO and P returner. We're missing a 3rd CB if Jackson doesn't come back. Edge we're done if one of Mack or
Bosa goes down, just like last year. DL same thing. This team will need a rebuild in 2024. We could lose Bosa, Mack, Allen, Ekeler. That would free up cap space
      and then what?

That's why this years draft is more important than most past year. We need to bring in play makers on both O and D to replace what we will probably lose while shoring up
depth if we want to content for a championship. We don't have the cap space to bring in vets and sign Herbert.

can we please take a one year break from drafting RBs? Dernest johnson is still out there, there are other viable veteran guys available for cheap and with kelley, ekeler, and a 1 year flyer coming off the books in 2024 offseason, the 2024 draft is the right time to go RB in the second round next year…
Why? We still need an every down RB, if we can get one we definitely should.

No chance to move to #5. Elekler has 1 year left on his contract. Nobody is giving up a high draft pick for a 1 year rental. No chance at #10 that's where the
Eagles draft. If he slips to #16 or below we may have the capital to move up to get him, if want to.

We don't need an every down back IF Ekeler stays. What we need is a big guy that can get the tough 3-4 yards when needed.
Ideally someone like Bijan would work. But we don't want to feed him the ball 300 times/yr. That just wears him down and more
prone to injury. Look at what is happening across the league. Teams are going with 2 RBs. The day of the bell cow RB is over.

I actually prefer a multi-dimensional guy like CMC or Ekeler to a guy that carries the ball 300 times and does nothing else. Our
problem was not Ekeler, it was the failure of TT to get a guy to complement Ekeler.

Kemon "Arsenio" Hall has played a lot of backup or in dime packages...just another cheap JAG...maybe the Bolts see some upside with him...

It’s not just about some superstar RB, it comes down to scheme, play calling, and a healthy offensive line…the raiders had a bell cow last year and they ended up with a too ten pick, the titans missed the playoffs, the browns missed the playoffs etc.

my point is that this “bell cow three down back” fantasy that so many people have on this forum is not indicative of what teams need to get to the superbowl anymore…yes, we didn’t have a good run game last year but we still made the postseason…I like the RBs we have, we can’t relive LT and people need to move on from that the league has changed, yes the run game needs to improve but some of that will happen simply from having competent play calling that’ll keep defenses off balance, then hopefully our O-line will have a healthy year and continue ti grow as a unit, that’s going to help too, I think salyer is going to be a HUGE upgrade at LG, people are underestimating the impact that having slater back will have as well…I’m hopeful that re-signing pipkins is not the end of the O-line investment for this offseason, we still need at least one experienced back up and a legit back up center/guard drafted in day two…

so IMO having a better starting 5 than last year and also having better depth behind them will in and of itself make our rushing attack more efficient especially combined with better play calling…even without really knowing what’s going to happen with ekeler, I think we’ll be fine with kelley and spiller plus a low priced veteran signing…

we don’t need to use a first round pick on a running back to be much improved on the ground in 2023 because we are already trending towards being better on the ground regardless…

Bijan doesn’t just give a 3-down “bell cow” and I’m all for retaining Eke as a 2-headed platoon. What Bijan does is on every down he is in, defense has to respect he can take any handoff to the end zone. He can gain the tough yards on short yard, sure, but he can do more, in fact he can do it all. They have to respect his presence and that will help our receivers, which will help Herbie, which will help Moore, which will help Staley, which will then help QSmokey.

we need to help QSmokey, he looks up to us, after all. Cmon - do it for QSmoke!

Who's manning this lunatic asylum? Why not simply trade them our 21st pick for Kenny Walker?

Gzubeck is right about one thing...Seahawks dont need an RB1...they got Walker...any other options? They gotta be willing to pay Eke...so they should be cap rich...Eke would be a young QBs best friend...Falcons? Dont know what their cap is like...Pattersons up there, dont know how much they like Algeire...
