    $7.5 mil/year? Totally reasonable in today's market.

With Pip under contract, the urgency factor for drafting O-linemen goes down considerably. If O-line is the BPA when on the clock? Great, go for it. But that kind of ass-covering is less necessary with Pipkins signed. The Chargers will go into the draft, now, with greater flexibility.

It's a really important and consequential thing to *not* have to go into the draft with RT being an urgent need.

For sure I am happy about that point too, having our RT signed before draft.

Yes, I would still take a tackle in rounds 2 or 3, salyer might be first in line to sub at tackle but unless sarrell has made huge progress we might need another guy, at the very least they need to draft a C/G in rounds 2-4 if they don’t draft a OT…

Chargers re-signed RT Trey Pipkins to a three-year contract. Per Roto World.

He'll make $7.25 million per year. Hanging on to Pipkins was reportedly a priority for the Chargers. Struggling through various injuries over the past couple seasons, Pipkin is one of the league's worst run-blocking tackles, according to Pro Football Focus grades. He was graded last season as the NFL's 57th best pass-blocking tackle. The Chargers must see something we don't. He'll rejoin an LA offensive line rated by PFF as the league's 13th worst pass-blocking unit.
I'd have to imagine that poor run blocking grade is mainly based on when he was playing hurt, he played dinged up for the majority of last season.
when healthy, he was visibly effective in run and pass blocking. We'll see.

Co-sign. They need to keep building the OL and DL. No depth whatsoever. It all starts up front. Tired of watching both lines get dominated for John boy/Telesco’s entire tenure.

Run blocking was his strength....shouldn't be a problem.

i'd like to get that C/G in the 2nd - 4rth that you develop to replace Linsley.

two top notch backup OTs is unrealistic.

Feiler has been cut. Salyer will likely start at LG.

                      Sarrell has been tendered.

We have a starting five and a swing tackle. Now need depth at guard and center.

I don't know for sure, but if we cut him there is no comp pick, if he is signed off of us, we get a comp pick credit.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
