So about a million more than Feiler's cap relief? BTW, when is Feiler getting cut?

Happy for Pipkins. He took a lickin and kept on tickin. And this is absolutely a fair and good deal for the Chargers. Bargain compared to what some other tackles got. I think the Chiefs made a big mistake (ableit for a LT vs RT). Pipkins has turned into one of the better RT in football despite what the PFF stats and Lyndsey Thiry think
Surprised Felier is still on the team? Maybe traded or cut now?

Don’t feel too bad, 21.
We all beat on Pipkins early in his career and he deserved it based upon his play. But to his credit he did not crumple and kept working and now he is a very good RT. He has tremendous mental fortitude, that is for sure. I am really happy for himLike, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Chargers re-signed RT Trey Pipkins to a three-year contract. Per Roto World.
He'll make $7.25 million per year. Hanging on to Pipkins was reportedly a priority for the Chargers. Struggling through various injuries over the past couple seasons, Pipkin is one of the league's worst run-blocking tackles, according to Pro Football Focus grades. He was graded last season as the NFL's 57th best pass-blocking tackle. The Chargers must see something we don't. He'll rejoin an LA offensive line rated by PFF as the league's 13th worst pass-blocking unit.

Very encouraging move, on a variety of fronts.
$7.5 mil/year? Totally reasonable in today's market.
With Pip under contract, the urgency factor for drafting O-linemen goes down considerably. If O-line is the BPA when on the clock? Great, go for it. But that kind of ass-covering is less necessary with Pipkins signed. The Chargers will go into the draft, now, with greater flexibility.
It's a really important and consequential thing to *not* have to go into the draft with RT being an urgent need.
