    Stone hands, bad catcher ?
He must have had some qualities ...
It doesn’t sound bad but he was so good in coverage, he probably had 4x that many chances. He dropped a lot of INT opportunities over his career. I still thought he was one of the best cover corners the Charger have had in my lifetime.

      Let's move him to safety!

I think the 1st criteria for a CB is to cover his WR and prevent completions from happening. INTs are nice but you gotta prevent completions from happening first and foremost. and Jammer was a pretty good cover corner.

I always felt like Jammer played his best games when he got his first pass interference call really early in the game, kinda get it out of his system. Then, his cognitive recognition would kick in and he would have a good feel for what the officials were going to allow for the game. I've never seen another Charger CB that was good for at least one pass INT call a game. But Jammer was like a safety in the run game. Both those Longhorns CB Quentin Jammer and S Stanley The Sheriff Richard were hitters.

Jammer was hardly a ballhawk either. He was outshined in the AFC West by Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey.

He was the Michael Davis of back then. Not a great player, but very good.

Jammer was good, but a Rodney Harrison type mentality he wasn't

They should have moved Jammer to safety! Remember that shit? His INT off Brady in the AFCG was pretty nice. Dude could play the run too.

I think his biggest problem was he never turned his head.

                        But a great cb

He was really really good & underappreciated. He was a lot like a really good left tackle - you don't hear his name mentioned all that much so you kinda forget about him, but he usually shut his side of the field down and if anyone tried to run the ball to his side he'd lay them out.
