Racquetball was huge when I was a teen - now-humorous attempts at a pro league and all. The Ectelon factory was on Ruffin Road in Mission Village, i had at least 5 friends in the ‘hood work there stringing racquets .
Did you ever hear of Charlie Brumfield? I golfed with him but only watched him CRUSH other racquetball players when he was in his 50’s and the opponents were half his age.

A true San Diego sports legend!

I played a TON of racquetball in the late 70s early 80s, Mira Mesa HS had those half wall courts that I hated but in the end probably helped my game.

It was a big deal when 13 year old me beat my Dad at the Racquet Club up near Mramar Rd

I'm right-handed, in fact, I'm very right-handed. There's really not much I can do with my left hand. Meanwhile, both of my kids are lefties.

I'm a dog person. My dog died from cancer about three years ago and due to our age (and since none of our family live near here), we decided not to get another. I kind of wish we had gotten another now because I miss my dog a lot.
One of the best things about my dog is he ate Cats

I absolutely 100 % agree. My mom’s tacos were outstanding. Corn tortillas and she would lightly fry them with the filling inside. Tender as a mother’s kiss. The best flour tortillas I’ve ever had were at the lobster shacks in Puerto Nuevo, down past Tijuana. Oh man. Tortillas, lobster, beans, rice, butter and heaven. Of course, that was almost 40 years ago.

When was this? We used to go down there in the 60s. Fond memories.

We started going down in the early 70's.
Just went down this last Spring Break... we stay at a place called Pete's Camp.
We go down almost every year.
What was it like in the 60's?

That was an amazing spot. We used to make those trips just for the restaurants. Haven't been back in 40+ years tho and wouldn't do it today for sure.
