The injury is bad, that much is clear. He was probably a top 5 pick before the knee. I wouldn't touch him in rounds 1-3 but if he falls outside of there would the Bolts be tempted. The guy may never play a down in the NFL or he could redshirt his rookie year and be a perennial pro bowler. A lot of folks are advocating Myles Jack at 3, well this guy was an equal or better prospect before the knee. Who would take a flier on?
Jaylon Smith-Do you burn a mid-round pick if he is there?

I would in the fourth or later as long as we had another pick in that round. So far that is only the sixth round, which if he was there I would absolutely take a flier on him there. If we are able to trade down and get an extra pick in the fourth or later I would jump on it then too.I'll ride the wave...where it takes me.

Id consider jumping up in late 3rd if it just looks like a 1 year recovery thing. It would certainly be a good deal to get 2 top 5 talents in the same draft. Pre injury he was a beast. I'm still seeing mocks that have him mid to late first. I think after the injury re-check and the consensus being he won't be ready til 2017, he will drop out of 1 and 2Last edited by chargerkdb; 04-17-2016, 10:44 AM.

Our picks this year are so high that they are really 1 round higher, so our 2nd rounder is more like a late 1st rounder.
So I'm chocking on using a 3rd rounder or even 4th on him, but after that I'm good ... Problem is he goes in the 3rd round ... Because someone will take a flyer if who they wanted / targeted isn't there ...
