    1. INNOVATORS - Those who say Dot is the real deal up to start of PS game #2
    2. EARLY ADOPTERS - Those who admit he's the real deal up to start of PS game #3
    3. EARLY MAJORITY - Those who finally admit Dot is the real deal up to announcement of final cuts
    4. LATE MAJORITY - Those who grudgingly admit Dot is the real deal between final cuts and mid-season
    5. LAGGARDS - After mid-season, when Dot shows beyond the shadow of a doubt that he really IS the real deal, those who are forced to admit he IS the real deal...

    That is all...

There were plenty of "innovators" for Micheal Bandy.......and that didn't end well..
I'm not saying Dotson isn't any good in any sense but some of us like to see more than preseason prowness against 2md and 3rds.
We have had several preseason studs over the years.
    Jesse Chatman anyone?

I feel better about Dotson than I ever did about Bandy but still. Just saying.....Mariota looks worse every year and tonight is no different.
    1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
    2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
    3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina

    4. CJ West DT Indiana
    5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
    6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA

If you look art Horvath as another running back on the roster, which is actually what he is, a big slow running back, if you look at it that way, then no one in their right mind is going to cut Dotson to keep Horvath...if he wasn't listed as a fullback this wouldn't even be a conversation...
Ok woah dude timeout. First Horvath had 2 TD's in his first 2 NFL games. Then lombardo never called his number again. Why? Who knows, lombardi lost his mind last year I swear.

Here's what I have an issue with. You post garbage like "big and slow" should have just kept Roundtree.

      Roundtree ran a 4.7
      Horvath ran a 4.5
      Ekeler ran a 4.4
      Kelley Ran a 4.5

Give Horvath just a little slack you can ONLY do something when your number is called.

Also, he has some solid blocks against the Rams, I rewatched the game specifically to see how he did. He didn't blow anyone out of the hole but he did seal his blocks in the hole a couple of times. He's like a faster version of Alstott.

Just for giggles this is why the Chargers drafted him in the 7th.

Good point on people getting on the Bandy Bandwagon early...let's see how Dot does in the next two games...but I think he really is the real deal...

          RB: Eke, Kelley, Spiller, Dotson
WR: Allen, Williams, Palmer, QJ, DD, Hightower
          TE: Everett, Parham, McKitty, Smart
OL: Slater, Zion, Linsley, Salyer, Pipkins, Clapp, McFadden, Sarrell

24 on offense, 24 on defense. 2 remaining spots. From there, you choose from the remaining best players. Guyton and Tito start on the PUP. Most of the remaining players probably clear waivers... and could probably be signed to the PS.

You have all good on defense, imo.
On offense, I don't like McKitty, Smart and Clapp choices.

I'm not super keen on them either... but they're depth.
Maybe McKitty takes over as FB in certain situations.
If some TE or center gets cut in late TC... those guys get up graded.
Foster Sarrell is a worry for me.
The Bengals have Orlando Brown Jr., Jonah Williams, La'El Collins, Hakeem Adeniji, Jackson Carmen, D'Ante Smith, and Cody Ford at tackle in camp. All competing for 3 or 4 spots.

I think Amen and Layne from that list.

wouldn’t be surprised if Doss beats out Hightower.

we’ll see who other teams cut.

I almost chose all 3 of those guys. Amen and Layne might just make it on their ST abilities.

Could be. I'm not a big Horvath fan... but there are others (already mentioned) that he could beat out.

^ This. In our first PS game, Sarell played the whole game, and he got burned for a couple of sacks and several pressures...his footwork is just so S - L - O - W...any speedy edge rusher will eat the dude alive...looks like Duke's Fun Camp didn't help much...

I've been concerned by looking ahead to 2024 and wondering about what the chargers were going to look like at RB with Ekeler's departure, but the future looks hell of bright with Spiller, Dotson, and even Shampklin who is a very versatile and intelligent back with receiving skills and also has a burst...they might even bring back Kelley if he's cheap, but I don't think they'll be needing to draft a RB high in 2024, that's significant when you consider that so many big changes will happen at top salary positions, Mack, JC Jackson, Bosa, Allen, and Mike Williams will all have huge cap hits on a team that will also be losing Michael Davis to free agency and looking forward to locking up Rashawn Slater, Josh Palmer and other young core guys long term...it's nice to know that the 2024 draft will not add RB to it's needs, not when CB, WR, and Edge will take priority...
Last year it really only maximized a receiver lined up in the backfield. We’ll wait to see the season but I’d bet with you that RB won’t be an early pick in 2024, they have two other positions they will have to release a star and may even decide to finish the middle of the OL with a rookie and let Linsley go because Slater will need to get paid soon too.

I’d like to see a dominant IDL player - find that Chris Jones, AD, that type of player and everyone else within 7 yards is instantly better.
