In order for Okoye to get poached the chargers would have to terminate his IPP contract by activating for a game which require him signing a regular non-IPP contract, I think IPP players are exempt from being poached as long as the team doesn't activate them and then release them in which case they would go on the waiver wire like everyone else...so as long as the chargers just leave his IPP contract intact, Okoye won't be able to play in a regular season game but the chargers can take their time and develop him slowly, I believe his IPP contract is a 2 year exclusive deal allocated to the Chargers...

Most fans will consider him a practice squad player but he's a special thing all to himself, he gets paid out of the IPP program and doesn't even count against the 16 player practice squad maximum...I don't think Okoye is going anywhere for a while...the guy is a physical specimen and I think the chargers can develop him as an OT at 6'7" at lean and muscular 350 pounds and 34 1/2" arms...I think his future lies on offensive line but they have plenty of time to figure that out, he's not going anywhere anytime soon unless I completely misinterpreted the IPP player guide lines...

Whatever you do, don't let Dotson go. He's shown more talent in 1 game than McKitty or Horvath have shown their whole careers.

Thanks for that info, Fouts...like that OT idea...in fact, he was training as an OT previously, so it's possible...I say, cross train at both DT and OT and see which one works best...and yes, take our time to develop him so he's ready to go...maybe a year from now...or ACTIVATE HIM FOR THE PLAYOFFS!

I don't think the Bolt Brass is dumb enough to send Dot to the PS...Lombozo might have done it, but with Moore in there now, u gotta think he's banging the table to keep him...

True but Horvath hasnt had a chance to play HB and likely never will. Dotson looked great but its one game. Looking forward to seeing more of him & Spiller.

Kampmoyer isnt anything special so those calling for him over McKitty, is based on what? Smartt hasnt shown much either. His biggest deal is he needed to add bulk as he was very undersized for a TE last season.

some good notes. I agree Horvath just won’t get the chance to be a RB. If his blocking is much improved like a few plays last week, he could hang on. I don’t think they keep him ONLY for ST but only guessing.

Smartt has to be able to block to play TE for Moore. Moore does not want pass-only TEs. Moore’s rushing scheme utilize TEs creatively, moving them around to create blocking mismatches and overloads vs a defense. Being mobile is an asset in Moore’s design, Smartat has that. But he has to lock up blocking assignments. He doesn’t necessarily have to bulldoze and bury defenders, just block them. We will see - McKitty has not been a good blocker either, despite his superior size profile.

I haven’t heard Staley drop shade on Kitty in the last week, he did the week before - sometimes he’s just lighting a fire using reverse juju, like he’s done with ASJ - but sometimes he’s telegraphing a player ain’t cutting it. I don’t know which it is in this case.

Derius Davis is the "Dash" to Elijah's "Dot"son. Alternate between Dot and Dash to correctly use Moore's Code!

Oh, nice one there, Blue! Notre Dame had the Four Horsemen, but the Chargers have "Dot and Dash": "Dot" Dotson and "Dash" Davis dialed up in Moore's Code! Let's hope the Bolts don't ahem, telegraph their plays...
