To me it seems like it's settled that Kelley is #2, he's got more experience and has become very dependable in pass protection and holding onto the ball which is one of the things that got him in trouble early on in his career...Dotson is not going unseat either Spiller or Kelley...and while they won't feature him, he'll get more than the 6-7 touches he had against the rams...They might even rest Kelley and let Spiller open the game then transition to Dotson...Dotson is fighting for a spot as RB#4 so he has bring something on STs too, he has to show them that he can become a core special teams player to make it so that the staff is okay letting go of someone else like Smart or Horvath, I don't think they will carry four RBs plus a FB too, I'd hate to see Dotson go to another team when we know we will be losing our top two backs to free agency in March of 2024...
I think Spiller has shown to be the better RB. Spiller has jukes and is more elusive and gets tougher yards.
You dont see much of that from Kelly. If he doesn't have a hole, he is pretty much done.
1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina ✓ 4. CJ West DT Indiana
5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
6. Jarquez Hunter RB Auburn
6. Jay Higgins LB Iowa
6. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
7. Carson Vinson OT Alabama
That's how I also see it. Horvath could be the 4th(FB) but I didn't notice him in the game today. He may have been and clearly we have others that can play STs. 42 on defense...forget his name,.... did well today on STs. Just don't know if there is space for him as a DB.

Tiawan Mullen out of Indiana.
Treyvon's brother. He could be CB # 5 and ST ace. Good, sure tackling. Decent in coverage. 5' 10".

If you look at the depth chart archives for the Cowboys, you will see that Kellen Moore didn't use a fullback and he only carried 3 RBs. Unless Horvath is important to special teams, I don't see a role for him on this offense.
I believe as well it will be 1. Ekeler 2. Spiller 3. Kelley. Unless Dotson shows something special against the 49ers next week, he's probably PS. He reminds me a little of Troymaine Pope, who was on the PS but played in a few games after Ekeler got hurt in Herbert's rookie year and was a decent ball carrier.
I'm not really down on Dotson after today. He didn't do anything spectacular but showed good burst on his 8 yard run.
He needs to catch the ball though and i know he can. Just not a good game today.
His pass protection might decide it for him. If they only keep three then he isn't going to make it.

The first drop would have been a touch catch for most RBs. The second was brutal.
Yep, agree. He should have caught the second one. BUT, I thought Dot did run pretty well up the middle this game...I noticed there were NO outside sweeps by him this game...it's like the Bolts wanted to find out how well he did up the middle...and to catch...grade of B running up the middle, D on catching the rock...I still think they need to keep him on the final 53...let me put it this way: Would any of u like to see the Raiders, Chefs or Donks poach Dot off the PS? Thought so...
22 - TE Mason Taylor
55 - RB Quinshon Judkins
86 - DL Josiah Stewart
125 - G Dylan Fairchild
158 - C Jake Majors
181 - WR Donte Thornton
