    Yup.
2 young, cheap backs with complimentary skills.
maybe Horvath develops as an rb too.

Very good point, Chillies. If Ekkie leaves us after this season, which looks probable, I see Dot as a natural replacement with a similar skillset. Hopefully he catches like he did in college, where he was very productive. We already know he can run outside and inside. Only question marks are receiving and pass pro. I still think the Bolts would be fools to try to hide him on the PS...
      22 - TE Mason Taylor
      55 - RB Quinshon Judkins
      86 - DL Josiah Stewart
      125 - G Dylan Fairchild
      158 - C Jake Majors
      181 - WR Donte Thornton

I think this is an issue around the entire NFL, there must be an emphasis in college ball to put the most physically talented players on defenses...to me it seems like we have one of the better O-line depth situations we've had in a long time, Clapp I think has been much better than last preseason, Sarrell is okay on the RIGHT side, it"s the left side where he looks like Norton...to me Bailey is looking like he found a home at guard and he's been improved like Clapp...McFadden showed some improvement from the first pre season game...Pleasants has looked the worse of the back ups but he's basically 3rd string behind Sarrell and I think he's playing with a bad knee because last year he wasn't wearing a knee brace...Jaimes is now 3rd string center/guard and he's probably gone since he's still getting thrown around like a rag doll on the interior...Branch, Trainer, and Weaver are 3rd and 4rth string guys that were probably getting a look for the PS only...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not really worried about him on the PS. Teams just don't value RBs. I don't see other teams wasting a valuable PS spot developing a RB they haven't seem everyday, especially one without a pedigree. It took until a week ago for Cook and Zeke to sign! In the cheaper end, it took James Robinson, a proven back, a long time to sign, too. Teams will use those spots on WR, DE, CB, OT, etc. If those players hit it's big savings for them in the future.

I like Dotson, and for us, I think he's worth keeping on the PS, but even a guy like Okoye has the potential for a higher impact on the game in the future.

Some folks think we are in terrible shape because our 3rd and 4th string backup OL are not starter grade. If we get to the point that they all have to play, i guess they are right. same same applies to 31 other teams.

Sarrell is not Norton. He can be passable at RT in a pinch. Staley has not wanted to shift starting OG to OT in the past, so that may be good. Bailey looks to have earned his backup spot as you note, and McFadden is showing progress after only 2 PS games.

Pleasants was bad last week, i don’t expect he’s around for long except maybe on PS and Jaimes won’t be on the roster and at this point I don’t know I wouldn;’t shift to trying and develop a younger guy on PS and release him completely - too much time and effort already put in him and he is no better than he was as a rookie.

To sum up - The key PS game weaknesses won’t even be on the roster and won’t ever play.

He won't make the practice squad.
of course this my opinion but he looks to have a solid skill set above what a Kelley has.
Hope he has a great game.
Pretty sure if he don't make the roster another team will be happy to take him.

They don't value high priced RBs

And THAT is ANOTHER good point. We already know Dot can run inside like Kelley, actually even a bit better than Kelley, plus the added dimension of the threat to break off one of those inside runs for a long one or to the house. But unlike Kelley, Dot can run outside and turn that corner better than any RB we have except maybe Ekkie...true dat...

I hope Dotson puts on a show. This is the apex moment in his life. He's going to be fun to watch.

I like Dotson enough to think that there may be a chance Spiller and Dot could knock Kelley all the way down to #4.

Let's clarify this: Teams don't value RB's who are near or more than 30 years old who demand bank bucks...what some teams DO value is finding a cheap RB who is talented...and THAT is EXACTLY what Dot is...
