Only if we have injuries imo. He hasn't ever played against the #1s so he might need some developing still.

It was nice that he looked good in preseason but now it counts.
I don't want any injuries just to see him play. It isn't like we landed another Marshall Faulk lol.
But it will be nice to see him occasionally get a few reps for experience for 2024.

He is last in the pecking order so I doubt it. I think only if we have injuries at RB.

Dotson is the backup kick return specialist, he was already ahead of hightower in that department and now hightower is gone...he's going to be active to play on special teams and to serve as emergency return specialist if needed, I don't think he'll contribute much offensively this year which is good because if he does it'll mean that our RB room got messed up due to injuries...Dotson's biggest value comes in the form of legit valuable depth going into next season when both ekeler and kelley will be gone...

Using boxing as an analogy our primary weapon last year was a stiff jab (short passes) and Eckler (check hooks and hooks to the body).

This year we've got haymakers to the head and uppercuts to body/chin.

This is probably hyperbole but I think this is the best RB room we've had since all three of Tomlinson, Turner, and Sproles where on the same roster...

Doubt it. We already will have Davis as the return guy who won't get many snaps on offense, if any.

They won't activate 2 guys like that with one being the backup return guy.

Which of our players are supposed to be the haymakers and which are the uppercuts?

Agree. I think it's reasonable to think that, over the course of the season, Ek, Kelley, and Spiller could easily have an ankle sprain that would heal much faster with some time off. During those two weeks as a gameday inactive, Dotson would absorb those reps.

I don't envision him getting carries in other circumstances for a while, unless he's consistently blowing things up in practices.

Right, you don't activate a player for a emergency RS.
