Critty is like a punch drunk fighter who doesn't realize that the fight has been stopped.Originally posted by Critty View PostNFL is odd. Chargers held this Ravens team to 20 points and 360yds of total offense with a so called terrible HC.
Ravens have 28pts and 300plus yards in the first half vs Miami and supposedly the better HC. What I see a lot of speedy players helping McDaniels win, replace those guys with Telesco pedestrian WRs and RBs and he would have worst record in the league. IMO.
He still wants to go out there and trade blows.

Everyone in the Chargers universe and NFL has moved on from Staley, as we all should, except Critty. Heck, he’s still carrying the torch for Anthony Lynn.Originally posted by NOrvMeNow View Post

Your take has nothing to do with football.Originally posted by NOrvMeNow View Post

Im asking a legitimate question about the so called coaching difficulties and the variance that I see every week in NFL. I didn't get a real football answer..I got a snarky comment that is completely useless, unless your goal is to get on my ignore list.
Do you have a take about football. can you explain how Chargers defense performed better vs Ravens than Miami is doing today? Let's not make it personal. Let's talk the Xs and Os of why Bolts held them to 20 and Miami cannot stop them. If you dont want to or lack the ability to add anything of substance as far as the on field football discussion, then keep it moving. The simple he/they suck response has no value. It explains nothing. Provides no insight. Do me a favor, don't waste a post on my comments unless it has some decent football take as part of it.

It's on any Sunday a team can step up or a good team can come out flat.Originally posted by Critty View Post

You didn't ask a question, you are again implying it's the players and not the coach.
Telesco was a bad GM, Staley was a bad HC. If you can't see that, don't know what to tell ya.
Gonna guess you wouldn't make a good GM either if you think Lynn and Staley were good HCs on top of always wanting to trade our high picks.

You all like to get snarky but can any of you give me a football take. You guys sure assume things. Like the HC is the reason the team sucked for the last decade even though the roster has issues. I've seen 3 decent football coaches get scapegoated for poor GM/Ownership. These coaches aren't out of league. In fact we see these same men on the sidelines as OC, Asst HC of playoff caliber teams. The take well they are better coordinating than the head guy is a simpleton view. Every HC was a coordinator of some sort. OC, DC, ST before they get a chance. QBs have switched teams and won Superbowls at different places but no HC has been able to win Superbowl at different places. There is a reason for that.Originally posted by jamrock View Post

I was the only person wanting to dump Rivers and draft Lamar Jackson and I was roasted for that. Out on that limb all by myself again. Very similar to how it is now. And guess what........my take on Lamar was quite good. My take on will firing Lynn change anything when it more of a roster issue. No. No it didn't. So that take aged well. My take that Lynn could get another HC job in future could age well. He is asst HC now for the best team in NFC. My take that Staley will be on NFL sideline again, and very well could be DC again. Maybe with Rams again. We shall see how it goes.
If you don't learn from history then your doomed to repeat it.
So let's just move on and not ask questions or review anything about the 2023 Chargers and what worked and what didn't work. Let's just sweep it all under the rug and move on. Well guess what....the dysfunction is still under that rug. And if you refused to look at it and understand it. Then it will show up again. And again. And again. Chargering is what it's called.
Good luck ostriches.
You don't see it anymore, so it must be gone.
