    RIP
I wish it wasn't CV that did it but otherwise I agree with Velo, full life, real hero and we all benefited from his service.
Both of you we're blessed to have each other.
    Thanks for sharing.

I'm in! We all have to go at some point. Sounds like he died peacefully. I lost both of my folks when I was 10, then 11. All I can say is it sucked! I'll keep you and your great pops in my thoughts. Keep yer chin up buddy! There's a lot of folks on this forum if you ever need to talk, myself included...

There's something about the previous generation. These were people who went overseas and risked their lives for what they thought was right en masse.

It sounds like you have a lot of respect for your dad, and it's well deserved.

You'll go through days when you're angry, sad, and bitter. After that you'll be able to reflect and appreciate him even more. After that is the time where you notice his characteristics in you and your family members.

Life can be hard at times, but its still wonderful

Thanks again everyone. I sent a link to the rest of the family and they were floored at the support and kindness.

We might have even converted a few new Bolts fans!

Man that smile of his. Kind of got me a little bit. I lost my dad when i was around 16. Brother announced he had AIDs right after that. Tough times. Glad you had many years of Dad in your life.

Well im gonna unstick this now my man. I left it up to honor him a bit longer. Aloha to you and your family.
