2016 CFB Season

So real FB starts Thursday night for a number of colleges, and continues through the weekend, and into Monday.
(not counting the early game in Australia)

Any thoughts on the coming season?
I've become a fan of the college game the last few years, with all the different innovations and spread looks, and different option offenses
(still love watching the option... it's the old Tom Osborne Nebraska Huskers fan in me)

Not sure I'm a huge fan of all the "throw it 50-60 times a game" stuff, but I do like watching innovation.

And of course, with all this innovation, uptempo, and crazy offense schemes... the best team is still Alabama. Ram the ball down their throats, and play suffocating defense.

Well, as a fan of the "other" SDSU, the Jackrabbits, I choose to just be a fan of the game. (Jacks are an FCS school). Used to be a big Huskers fan back in the day. But then they fired Solich, hired Callahan, and I was done.

BTW, the Jackrabbits face TCU in Waco Saturday. I'm hoping they stay within 40.

Aztecs rule. Schedule looks not any more difficult than last year. Seems like we'd have to go undefeated to make it into the top 20.

#3 Oklahoma getting beat badly by #15 Houston.

Aztecs started the season the way we ended last season. We beat the hell out of a team I never heard of. This is such a big jump from just 2 years ago, or just the beginning of last year, when we were the nobodies getting the fuck beat out of us.

Now it seems we have a passing attack to go with our running game and defense. We'll see how we do against Cal.

I didn't know New Hampshire had a football team. I wonder if Bernie Sanders is their QB. Good to start off with a convincing win.

The Cal Bears QB threw for 441 yards in week #1. Of course that was against the Rainbows in Australia. But I like our pass defense.

I think we should beat Cal pretty easily if we stay on the ground all day. Hawaii ran for 248 yards and three TD's vs. Cal. We should run for 300+.

Coach, your Jackrabbits played them well. Only in college football can you score 40+ and not expect to win.

Can't believe it. Watched the game into the 2nd quarter and Ole Miss was up 28-6. Turned the game off and watched a movie with the family and when it's over open ESPN on my iPad and see FS is up by 11 with 5 minutes left - WTF?

Ole Miss went ice cold in the third, and turned the ball over, and like that, the game flipped. Crazy first weekend.
