Well, as a fan of the "other" SDSU, the Jackrabbits, I choose to just be a fan of the game. (Jacks are an FCS school). Used to be a big Huskers fan back in the day. But then they fired Solich, hired Callahan, and I was done.

BTW, the Jackrabbits face TCU in Waco Saturday. I'm hoping they stay within 40.

Jackrabbits did pretty well against TCU.

Biggest game for the Aztecs in a decade or so is next week against Cal. Winnable game, and huge upside if they do.

Aztecs started the season the way we ended last season. We beat the hell out of a team I never heard of. This is such a big jump from just 2 years ago, or just the beginning of last year, when we were the nobodies getting the fuck beat out of us.

Now it seems we have a passing attack to go with our running game and defense. We'll see how we do against Cal.

Thought they had a chance against Cal last year, but the offense hadn't found its identity and Goff+Cal's WRs were better than the Aztec secondary. Will be a fun game to watch next Saturday.

Coach, your Jackrabbits played them well. Only in college football can you score 40+ and not expect to win.

Tie game at halftime, and a couple of fortuitous bounces went TCU's way. (they doinked in a FG before half, and 4th quarter they threw a deep ball deflected by the defense (great play by a LBer), right to a WR who walked it in from the 5.

If they can put up yardage and points like that against a good Big 12 school, I like our chances in the FCS this year.

Also... the Jackrabbits have one of the top WR's in all of college football, regardless of class, division, or conference, in Jake Weineke.

3 games against FBS Opponents:
8 catches for 196 yards and 2 TDs against TCU. Against Kansas last year 8 catches, 160 yards, 2 TD's. Against Missouri as a Freshman (1st college game) 6 catches for 107 yards.

Can't believe it. Watched the game into the 2nd quarter and Ole Miss was up 28-6. Turned the game off and watched a movie with the family and when it's over open ESPN on my iPad and see FS is up by 11 with 5 minutes left - WTF?

Had to laugh, was watching a movie with the wife and kids, and occasionally checked Twitter... during the first half, everyone on Twitter was just BURYING Florida St. Talking about how terrible they were, and just piling on.

I admit, Jimbo Fisher may not be a likable guy, but he can recruit... and coach.

I'm no Seminole fan, but I have to admit I enjoyed watching media folks do a happy dance when FSU was losing, and then have to eat their words on the turnaround.

I'm really happy for Charlie Strong. He's a solid coach. They need to give him time to turn it around. If he doesn't win alot this year, could be over.

Probably the top college games for this coming weekend: TCU vs Arkansas, North Carolina vs Illinois, Utah vs BYU, and San Diego State vs Cal.

TCU/Ark will be interesting...total contrast in styles.

I'd like UNC at home against Illinois, but could be tough on the road, and they lost against Georgia last week.

Utah-BYU is gonna be great again, it's always an all-out battle. Something like 10 of the last 12 have been decided by one score or less. Bitter, bitter rivalry, not just among the players but probably even more so among the fans. It's the Holy War and it's kind of a battle between the LDS and non-LDS populations in this state (although there are Mormon fans of Utah, but not the other way around). It's the only major football rivalry with a religious slant. It got so ugly that they actually took a break for two years to try and calm it down a bit (although they met in the Vegas Bowl last year). It will be interesting to see if the tensions have calmed a bit. I will be there tomorrow, tailgate starts at noon! Always a lot of fun...
