So Michigan has produced Aidan Hutchinson drafted very early, as were Bosa and Mack.
Rahaun Gary.
Josh Uche...drafted later.
It remains to be seen how Minter does it.
At this point in the pre draft cycle, many ideas swirling around.
There is no need to be encumbered.
My final mock will be in April.

when was the last time we had a really good defense? OMG, this is probably one of the things I've missed the most even while we had awesome QBs, I fucking love defense, can't wait to see Minter turn this fucking thing around!!!

Did Tuli fade because Bosa was injured and they doubled up on Tuli at times? Just wondering...I believe Tuli did his best work when he was in there along with a healthy Bosa and Mack...

I think you are correct. Tuli was at his best when both Bosa and Mack were drawing the most attention. Even if he wasn't on the field with both, but was relieving one or the other, the opposing OL let their guard down a little and he surprised them. Once he became a regular starter whom opposing OL prepared for, he did kind of disappear. But he still had a number of QB hits, and that is encouraging. I hope it means he continues to grow and can evolved into an elite pass rusher.

Even with all of that he was still a very good run defender.

I agree though he will only get better.

My POV is that Minter will get the most out of DJ, but just how much that remains to be seen.

I'm a little more okay with the idea moving off Bosa/Mack after hearing a podcast that described the timeline of the Michigan defense from when Minter joined.
apparently, he has a talent for manufacturing pressure off the edge with lesser talent (post Hutchinson and Ojabo).
So maybe asking Jesse to work a small miracle with Rumph, Tuli and draftees isn't too bad an option.
