I don’t think his recent drafts were as good as we mostly all thought at the time, personally. If Harbo comes in and develops them and shows it was the Staley Method, I’ll be glad to be wrong.Originally posted by gzubeck View Post
This...I don't think his drafts were bad over the past few years...it's really been about the coaching. Coaching will no longer be our weakest link going forward. I wouldn't be surprised if we have 3-4 players start producing when they were buried under a Staley rock.

Well the last few games of last season were the times to see if they can play but John Spanos - didn't instruct the coaches to play them. That was a mistakeOriginally posted by northerner View Post

TT was not INSPIRING in his s********s. Bosa fell to him. Herbert fell to him. I could have made those picks!!. You cannot give him props for that. But there were a log of K.Murray's that really did not pan out. Glad he is gone. Just so-so is not my cut of tea.

If he knew how good Herbert was going to be he would have traded a future first to move up for himOriginally posted by Icebolt View PostTT was not INSPIRING in his s********s. Bosa fell to him. He was prepared to take Tua or Herbert
I am looking forward to seeing what Hortiz and Chad Alexander too with the front office moves
I think it will be a different direction - one based on the 20+ years each had with the Ravens - -

Don't agree with the TT is lucky cause players fell to him. While I'm glad he is gone, understanding how the board works, what teams ahead of you are likely to draft and how they grade players is a big part of being a GM and that part is something TT was pretty good at.Originally posted by Icebolt View PostTT was not INSPIRING in his s********s. NO, he wanted Tua over Hebert because "gurus" like Kiper have him rated higher. He got luckyOriginally posted by richpjr View Post

Luck has nothing to do with it, so I'll agree to disagree.Originally posted by Icebolt View Post

He is gone now, as he should be based on his record. Let's see what the new generation does - I am expecting big things.

've seen Chargers quoted saying they had their eye on Herbert for a long time and wanted him - but of course I never saw any of them say that until AFTER they drafted JH so who knows if they really did. I mean, they can't go out and say they wanted Tua after they drafted JH, right?Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch
