Heard a rumbling on the TV this weekend that Sean Payton is seen as stale in New Orleans and both he and the Saints could be possibly looking for a fresh start. Not sure Spanos would ever pay the premium needed to get a coach like that but I'd love to see what he could do with Rivers.Comment

I'd like Payton but with the caveat of a new, strong DC as well.
That be said....after Norv and now McNorv...I feel like out of necessity we almost need a Marty-type of coach. I like to avoid the knee-jerk coaching hires (as well as the pendulum swings in coaching philosophies), but it's almost absolutely needed at this point. The entire culture is just too soft.
