Woah this dude is literally 240lbs and can run. Low to the ground. Damn I've always wanted a bowling ball of a RB since the MJD days. Ground and pound time.

That's a lot of mass moving.

            Gilman is listed as 5'10 - 201

This is a weird angle, AG looks tiny in comparison, but yeah Gus is a big dude. Let the pounding of the rock begin.

I didn’t think he looks 240 either. He looked more like 215 in his 2023 highlight tape to me, but he was pretty far away. I didn’t care a lot about his good runs thru massive gaping holes, they were fine but those holes were massive. but my eyes got misty watching him plow straight thru a DT or LB and drive them a yard or 2 back to score TDs. Sniff.

Finally, we have a decent RB in the committee...just need to draft ONE more...

                  Gus Edwards

                  6-foot-1
                  229 lbs
                  4.52 40 time

                  Rutgers Pro Day 2018

Why he wasn't drafted is a bit of a mystery to me.

he looks closer to 220 than the 240 that was being thrown around. Tough dude.

why - no "Rutgers" love? Beats me too when you scan the list of 2018 RBs that were drafted. Other than Saquon and Chubb, that class of RBs has not overly distinguished itself. My homeboy Penny was in that class (Go Aztecs!), he never lived up to his Rd1 slot.

TT drafted Justin Jackson in that draft, one of his long string of RB whiffs

Id guess we draft one of Benson, Allen, Wright, Lloyd, Corum, and even Estime with his slow time. Shipley is a possibility, just not one my favs.

Corum isnt my fav here of the group but id bet Harbaugh really likes him and id be ok with him. My two guys are Wright and Benson. I put Wright ahead of Benson because he has some Pacheco in him and i like that.
We'll see which one we get.
Corum might drop to the 5th round. He did not run as fast at the combine as anticipated and he lost some explosiveness after that last major, season ending injury. So some teams might not want to take a chance. Harbaugh knows exactly what is going on so if we draft him I look at it as a big win.

Telesco couldn't draft RBs to save his life. The best RB the Chargers had during his tenure was undrafted.

He was a Miami Hurricane first. He didnt play much there and missed the 2015 season.

Went to Rutgers as a senior and only had a 4.3 YPC with 713 rushing yards which in college isnt good. Only had 16 total receptions in 5 years. Just wasnt very productive in college but he has been better in the NFL and these are the types that Telesco could never find.
