Draft looks deep at WR. I'm in the trade down camp. If they do, I have no problem with Bowers, with an additional attached pick.

As far as replacing Allen, you can't. You move on. Again the draft class looks deep. You don't/can't replace Allen. But you try to improve the overall WR room. Palmer, Johnston, Davis and FA/ draftee , Scheme and Coaching make the receiving unit better.

As to beachcombers' question. Below is a link to the rated WR class. All positions actually. Specifically, 3rd round of later. Like either of the 'other' UW wideouts. Polk or McMillan. Burton out of Bama. Thrash out of Louisville. Or the front office continues with the blue collar player profile and take McCaffery.

I agree with not merging this thread. It's hilarious! I sure hope there are no short piers close by for some of our posters to take a long walk on . Those of us old enough to remember lived through Lance Alworth being traded to the Cowboys. Admittedly, he was not coming off of his best season, but nonetheless, he was a Charger legend.
I think H&H know what they're doing and if it takes a couple of seasons to implement their plan, then so be it.

i never knew the history on that, but i just saw of clip of Lance catching a TD in the super bowl for the dallas cowboys. i did not know he played for another team. i started watching in 1979.

Would have liked to have kept KA but I'll go out on a limb and say his production will fall off big time next year.

Age, injuries, QB situation, weather, etc. I wish him the best though, unless we somehow meet the Bears in the Super Bowl.

I also have to chuckle a bit at all the hand wringing because our offense isn't settled in month #1 of the new regime. Guess this season is over, fellas.
