But, have you seen the way our OL "protects" our franchise QB?
And, have you really paid attention to how inconsistent our WRs are with regard to route running & fighting for the ball? They & the TEs have shown flashes, but there have been many catchable balls dropped & picks off of lackadaisical effort at very inopportune times this season.
Have we truly made any astute halftime coaching adjustments?
THESE are my beefs with the team.
Hell man, I'm not saying PR is perfect...he's not. But he's definitely not even close to the main reason we're in the mess we're in, either.
In my opinion, he appears to be the only one out there on the offense showing any kind of leadership to speak of.
It needs to be more than PR putting out that kind of effort. More guys need to step up.

"The REAL question is whether PR's teammates are "clutch".....& the answer is emphatically "NO"!"
Maybe it was just a bad choice of words on your part, but this appeared (to me) to be throwing the team under the buss and placing PR up on a pedestal.sigpic

Nick Saban has been known to throw his team under the buss after losses. Doesn't take responsibility himself, or give the other team credit, just calls out his own players. Probably one of the reasons he wasn't successful in the NFL.sigpic

Saban would work in the right situation.
Remember in Miami, he missed out on Drew Brees, and had Culpepper.
I think if you give Saban control, let him build what he wants, and give him the $$ and quarterback... he could go.
All he can do at Alabama is fail. And he'd be coming off 2 straight National Titles, (probably).
A "new" team, in a new city, with a franchise quarterback... these are all things that would look good to him.
However, the ownership... would not. I do NOT see that happening."...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

Saban already makes more than most NFL coaches and he's a God around here. Why would he leave? I could see him using a potential move to the NFL to leverage Alabama for another raise like he did when rumors had him taking the Texas job a few years back.sigpic

I heard a rumor on PFT that Kroenke might make a play at John Elway to take over football operations, as Elway's deal in Denver ends in 2017. That shouldn't affect the choice of the next HC, but may have to be open to the possibility that he could get canned no matter what his record is after 2017.
