The Chargers sit at #32.

I believe part of this is depth and talent level.

And part of this is anticipatory of how GRo will run our offense.

I remain optimistic that we will be more dynamic.

Herbert is averse to turnovers, while he will have better overall weapons plus more time to progress to open targets.

Dobbins and Vidal will make us explosive.

Once those DB's start worrying about run support, Herbie and the WR's will go over the top.
Play-action tends to help protection. Elite OT's tends to help protection.
We will decimate people this year. Experts should be in CYA-mode by mid-season.

I think we compare well at WR. It seemed like one or both KA and Mike were hurt all the time. We're younger, faster and Ladd has a lot of star potential.

You didn't mention coaches which IMO are a HUGE improvement to the offense.

At this point, we are assuming perfect health for our starters: Dobbins, Hurst, Chark, .......

Id say hell yes. Everett was meh and Vannett was absolutely nothing! Not sure he even qualifies as a mention as he didnt play much at all. Id put Parham here first. ...who is still here.

Agree, ive said before if we do nothing on the roster, we are better just from this. I just feel Staley was a waste of my three years as a fan.

At this point, we are assuming perfect health for our starters: Dobbins, Hurst, Chark, .......

We assume anyone can get injured and have position depth accordingly. Some of the players are better than others. This is the NFL.
We assume that the guys are as healthy as they are on any given day, any given play as of now and going forward.
Currently I think Chark is 4th WR. Dobbins is a talented maybe 1 RB, Hurst same at TE. They have yet to earn it.
IMO we probably keep 4 RBs, 4 TEs, 6 WRs.
Meanwhile, Rookies report to training camp 7/16, vets on 7/23. Allegedly there will be a Rams scrimmage,.then preseason begins Aug 10.

Sep 8- game 1 vs LVR. Roster cuts will have been made and starters announced by that date.

We watched the England v Netherlands game last night. We were hoping the Orange would prevail... as we are heading to the Netherlands soon (Sunday). Would have loved to see that game (Netherlands v Spain) from a bar in Amsterdam. Alas, it will not happen.

I don't think it would be wise to root for England on Sunday... Spain...?

Hurst and Dissly can do the job at TE, even though they aren't as good as Gerald Everett.



You didn't mention management which provides the things the organization wants on offense and do scouting on players.



As good as KA and MW were, having them on the team for so long, opponents knew what to expect with the Chargers' offense. Them being gone isn't that bad. There's new bodies that are capable of holding their own. Even when those two were healthy and both on the field, the WR room lacked speed after them, and it killed the offense when there was too many slower guys. That is mitigated now thanks to better management and scouting.

My apologies. Hortiz and his staff are also a major improvement.

Gerald Everett was OK imo. I believe Hurst and Dissly are upgrades in G-Ro's offense.

in the last 3 years, you've learned:
1. the importance of celebrating all birthdays equally,
2. the importance of minimizing roles for your most talented defender.
3. How to properly stretch in public to maximize attention from others.
4. Modeling how no job is too small by picking up helmets from aggravated players.

Gotta empty the ol'cup there sometimes....
