Pretty sure it's a necessary purge. And not really unanticipated. Just somewhat unnerving the see the parts that have been stripped off without seeing the replacement parts yet.

I knew a purge was coming but that it was going to be over a longer period of time. Unnerving it is but I know they have a plan.

I think this year is going to be painful. I can't see how they are going to be better than they were last year against a tougher schedule. Unless something unpredictably crazy happens and they hit on every one of their draft picks this year it is going to be full of growing pains, IMHO.

At the rights prices. 1 year deal for TE Evan Engram and 1 year deal for WR Copper Kupp helps fill out the roster with veterans that have something to prove. It's not like there isnt a bit of money there to spend and take a small risk with possible high reward.
