You don't build rosters hitting on 6th/7th round draft picks.
Look at all those 6th rounders starting for the Ravens right now.
Maybe the problem is Hortiz thinks he's playing 5th dimensional brain games when the NFL is 3 dimensional.
Matlock was a 6th rounder
Salyer was a 6th rounder
Gilman was a 6th rounder
Antonio Brown was a 6th rounder
Terrell Davis was a 6th rounder
...and finally, Tom Brady was a 6th rounder
Obviously, not all the 6th rounders drafted will make the final 53...but...if SOME of them become starters or decent depth, you DO build at least PART of your roster...and we (and other teams) have had success with some of those 6th rounders...

I'm really curious to see how much cap space they are going to have before the preseason starts.
the CB will cost 4-5
tartt will be 4-5
so that’s 55m
rookies and I season costs will be around 15m
and no real cash on next years book so Hortiz has money unless dean is broke

its more how little they have pushed to 2026
engram would be one year
Wr would be one year
a Zeitler would be one year
so they are having another bridge year

DT Dalvin Tomlinson would be a good start. I know it’s a good DT draft but they need to round out the roster with depth players who could feasibly start at this point.
G Mehki Becton but he’ll be expensive so I don’t think the FO bites.
G Kevin Zeitler cause he’s just good. And old. And he can play opposite of Becton if by a miracle they did sign him.
