Loyalty isnt a word id use. Im just looking at their tape, ...weeks ago and it isnt any better than his. I dont see gems there. I see late round picks and we have one of those already.

Now look, this is floating around today. Keenan rarely posts on X but he did repost this up after MW posted it. Now i know some wont like it,.... like B4K and i even say i doubt it happens. However, if it does, imo this means they dont have an interest in a WR early and may use a later pick on one but id even doubt that since they have Rice and signed Reager. Also means they may carry 6 WRs on the roster this year.

Thats where we need to be looking, ....3rd round or if they fall 4th round. Im not really down on Bryant, i wasnt really in on him in the first place.

Agree we dont need a first round reciever though i wont hate it but we can get a reciever 3rd-4th round that are better. Those guys are likely later round than 5th. Even Nash is probably a 6th. Rice was rated a 4th too and for some reason went 7th. I can see that with these guys as well.

Im usually with you on things, i just think we have one of those guys already.
I was one of those guys that liked Rice (I had a 5th round grade on him). But he hasn't shown anything yet. I prefer bringing in competition for him. I have hesitations about Savion. The traits are there... but he is very raw. He has better hands than QJ... but his route running and understanding of open spots in the defense will take a while. Both Higgins and Royals understand route running better... so do Prather and Pat Bryant.

But... when considering guys like Higgins and Royal... I'm also looking at some of the EDGE rushers and DT's in the 3rd round. With the depth @DT and EDGE... I think 3rd and 4th round will be EDGE/DT (maybe even an IOL).
      Protect the QB
      Run the ball
      Play great defense

But he can be electric and a bigger weapon, perhaps takes well to coaching. He is a natural running the ball as he was a QB.

Hines Ward was also a QB and WR and RB at Georgia. Savion a bigger version. Ward in 1995 was 69-122 , 872 yards passing, 61.9% completion , also had 70 rushes and 18 receptions. Then in 1996 went RB/WR ,no QB except for a few gadget plays till drafted and as we know, was an excellent WR in Pittsburgh.

Isnt it about traits and potentual? Just my vision. We all different just like those scouting reports we read from DerwinBosa. They all had different opinions lol. Love reading those.

If we go Edge, great, DT, great, OG great..... All for those. If we trade down like ive mocked for us, great. Many things they can do in different rounds. I got complete trust in Hortiz and Harbaugh.

Cant wait for the draft and get the speculation overwith lol.

Popper has been pretty adamant it is not happening. But if it does happen, it will in all likelihood be post draft. Maybe the draft board just didn't fall there way and instead of Hortiz taking a flyer, he goes with other positions and WR is left out of the draft. Hence, you need Allen. But you don't sign Allen for even $3-4m and draft a guy like Tmac. As either Tmac doesn't get the reps or you paid $4m for a WR 4/5 in reality. That doesn't make sense

The one thing with Allen though - he is not playing Special Teams - granted, neither would TMac or Golden. But that is the one area that possibly Rice could excel at . Kassim Osgood went from WR at SDSU to a very good special teamer

With respect to Allen after the draft - I can see it
Same way I see Calais Campbell for IDL pass rush
Judon or other veterans for Edge depth.

he’d be a slot receiver today too
Yeah, I have a white Fouts. Would love an Alworth or even a Jefferson 83 white too.

Popper was pretty adamant that Joe Alt wasn't happening last draft... I take Popper with a grain of salt.

I agree, KA doesn't happen before the draft. If there are other proven pros at other PON's... they have probably saved that extra cap $$ for them. The draft board will tell them where to go. The actual draft picks will tell us more. They can go in a lot of different ways.

LOL! No doubt, Savion is traits loaded. He is unlike any other WR/RB in this pool of prospects... or different from anything we have on the roster. If Hortiz chooses him in the 3rd round... I have no doubts about his usage/value. I trust Hortiz. This draft is much anticipated! I really have no clue which direction they go.

TE is actually I think the most glaring need on the roster
IMHO, TE is no longer the biggest need with Conklin signing. He had almost 500 yds receiving last year and that was playing on a dysfunctional Jets team. There is no reason he can't have 800-1000 yards this year. He is a very underrated TE.

I'll leave you with this, who is the #1 outside CB on the roster right now?

In regard to Rice there is something there they like, or they would have cut him a long time ago. They took Johnson right after him and ended up cutting him. Harbaugh was more familiar with him then Rice. The fact that he is still on the roster is saying something. With that said, he has to show something this year or he will be gone.

Yes, it is...... Conk is solid but NOT elite.... he is not a game changer and is only signed for one year....

Ask brady, mahomes, Rivers and Fouts who was the most important receiver on their teams and had the biggest impact.... and they will answer TE..... TE is a QB's best friend and makes pas blocking easier for the OL and gives QB's a quick answer to respond to blitzes.....

we cant keep telling Herbert that we will get him a great TE NEXT year...... ...ever since Gates retired, we have not had one.....Henry wes solid BUT NOT an eklite game changer.....

we passed on Bowers last year..... Chargers goal will be to get Loveland this year.....

We will have to agree to disagree. You don't need an elite TE in this system. Roman proved that last year. They need a TE that can get open, stress the seams, and can catch. Conklin does that. How many yrds receiving do you think your "elite TE" will have this year?

We sure could have used an elite TE vs the Texans. Dissley's drops cost us a first down when we had to settle for a fg and a pick 6. That was 10 points plus huge momentum swings.
