According to ESPN's Jenna Laine, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not be placing the franchise tag or the transition tag on wide receiver Chris Godwin.

Before dislocating his ankle last season, Godwin had 50 rec, 576 yards and 5 TDS in just 7! Games.

That’s the easiest way to sign him without complications.
      thats fair I guess

My thought of why JJ deserves a bit more is just because I think he is better
      no doubt Chase is solid

I think I will pass on Goodwin

My sleeper X candidate is Nick Westbrook-Ihine. He has not had good QB play in Tennessee so maybe with a better QB his full potential will be out there

What’s your opinion about Golden at 22?

Godwin was on pace for 110 Rec and 1600 yds last season…
50 freaking receptions in 7 games is really impressive.

I was referring to an earlier comment...not true divas as in troublemakers, but the net effect is to drive up the price for wideouts...market economics I suppose...I guess we better find our X-WR early, unless we are willing to pay top dollar...

Other than TMac - probably the only WR to take in Round 1
              like him a lot
I know he is on the smaller side -- but he would be a nice target opposite Ladd for sure

That is kind of why I like the idea of getting a guy like Westbrook-Ihine (or Slayton) and finding your X in the draft. As much as I like Adams, I think there is a small window for him - and for me, this Chargers team has a 3-4 year window. Granted if y ou can get the math to work and sign Adams and still draft a longer term X WR - that works for me too

Its the injury concern not the production. Two major injuries I believe

I’m warming up to him but I think Ayamanor is going to be a better choice. 6’2” 209 10” hands. 4.47

I just like him as an outside X who could play immediately.

                      Yeah….
Its funny. You either pay big for a Higgins who is 25 or you pay middle for a Godwin who’s played and had injuries.
Or you just draft a guy. But either way, they’re going to pay for injured guys. The O line guys in FA all have an injury history.
                      Pick your poison.

Before last year's injury-shortened season, Godwin has been mostly healthy:

Like any QB , DE, CB he is not going to take less than market value

Higgins was the overall top free agent on the market before he was franchised. He would have likely had a 30 mil offer.
"Diva" is a derogatory slur to replace an "elite receiver" description. "Two Divas" is expanding the slur since CIN has two elite WRs. Not a single "diva" fact or comment about either is stated, they are "divas" simply because they are great. But that is not the definition of diva, and the diva-accusers know it is not.

The most common unstated explanation I see for this slanderous behavior, which posters too often admit, is their own selfish priority for indirect pleasure of their team winning. They value their personal joy over a rights of these free human beings that they disparage. Ironically - these complainers could themselves be considered THE DIVAs they protest about, demanding things which they have no right to
