If I were Tee Higgins I would be pissed. 2nd year getting tagged. I don't know if that really helps the Bengals with their cap space or not

Problem is bengals want to sign Chase asap then sign Higgins.... but Chase is waiting for Higgins to sign forr 30+ so Chase can ask for 35-40million per year.....Originally posted by Chargers8491 View PostIf I were Tee Higgins I would be pissed. 2nd year getting tagged. if he was signing a new deal, he would probably have a signing bonus we over the $26M, and way more guaranteed money overall.Originally posted by Maniaque 6 View Post
 26 M is not enough ?

this may not be over yet - the bengal's just got some leverage if they want to trade him. it also depends on if Higgins will play hardball.

one ACL injury in practice, the preseason or regular season...

Not sure Chase is being a Diva. The market has spoken and he has a clear case to be the highest paid WR in the game. That bar is now pushing 40 mil. Thats the way it works. Cap keeps going up.Originally posted by Topcat View Post

Like any QB , DE, CB he is not going to take less than market value

Higgins was the overall top free agent on the market before he was franchised. He would have likely had a 30 mil offer.

If they end up trading him it helps the Bengals ensure he doesn't end up in their own division? IDK, there is a reason that teams use these tags, you can't just let a guy like this walk to your division rival, that would be my biggest concern as a GM...Originally posted by Chargers8491 View PostIf I were Tee Higgins I would be pissed. 2nd year getting tagged. It’s a process and the bengals have no choice but to follow it.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

They are doing what they should be doing - if they so choose - and that is maximizing their ability to make the most money they can.

Chase deserves to be paid close to JJ - I don't think higher - but close

Higgins deserves to be paid probably in the $26-28m AAV range.

Brugler was saying that the Chase deal should be JJ’s deal with the salary cap % increase added to it.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

That’s the easiest way to sign him without complications.
