What would you have done differently? Who would you have signed or drafted?

Those questions haven't been answered sufficiently. If we had reached for interior offensive linemen and didn't take Hampton or Harris in the first two rounds, there would be a lot bitching about how we took two shitty offensive linemen and didn't give Herbert any more weapons. Now the answer is to sign Will Hernandez or Brandon Scherff, both of whom are still unsigned for very good reasons. This stuff is pretty funny. Of course I wanted upgrades at center and left guard. Harbaugh and Hortiz didn't see any they could bring in. Some people just can't let it go.

So is Jim Harbaugh a good HC or not?

Yes, he's a good HC. Last time I checked though, the Roman Catholic Church has not declared Harbaugh as being infallible.

I'm torn, truly torn. Can somebody convince me which way to lean:

1. (+) I trust in Jim.
2. (-) I saw Zion and Bozeman play last year

Someone said Bozeman knows the (OC) calls. Did he know them last year?

Maybe the intent of Harbaugh playing Bozeman at the guard position is so that Boze can better see how guards need a center to help them at times.

I’ll trust in Jim. Living here in the Bay Area, when he took over the Niners job, I hopped on, cause I knew that team had talent. For the life of me, I can not tell you what lineman they had, but they did pound it. So I expect the same. Regardless who is in there. We can all prefer him or him, but it’s not our job we can do better than the coaches in the building.

They had two really good OTs on San Fran when Harbaugh started out: Staley and another high 1rst rounder.

One pretty good guard whose name escapes me: blew out a knee in the NFC championship game which lead to Seattle`s comeback.

I mean, every team except ours and the Lions have only 3 preseason games total. So, the Chargers basically made this decision before the "actual" preseason games begin. Even though Zion will still be playing center this game. Ha.

I agree, on the whole, this was/is such a bizarre handling of a situation of need from a usually solid and experienced coaching staff and front office. It's baffling, actually. Frustrating, even. Yet, here we are, heading into another season with Boze at center and Zion at LG. Just like last year.

My scapegoat is still Roman.

Why is Zion starting at center then in the preseason if they are going to end up putting him in at LG? Makes zero sense.

Either Zion will be the starting center, or ....? My money is that he will start at center.
And I guess Bozeman will play guard.

New center, you want someone with experience next to him .... and Becton/Salyer don't have that.

What is your theory on not giving Andre James a legitimate chance to beat out the 4th worst center in the NFL last year by announcing Your starting OL with 3 pre season games left?

That is really interesting jamrock. Harbaugh has put together an amazing coaching staff...but i have wondered if Devlin is the one weak link.
