Najee was practicing yesterday. Hacksaw is absolutely full of shit.

More concerning…..Greg Roman said he expects Mekhi Becton for Week 1, but isn’t “putting anything in concrete”

        He'll start week 1.

If he were to miss the season because of his eye injury, I think the Chargers could recover every dollar they paid him on his one year contract. But I think he'll be out there on the field week 1.

The Chargers are +3 week 1 v the Chiefs, but in the next two games they are slight favorites, week 2 against the Raiders in LV and week 3 at SoFi v the Broncos.

Hope so but we have seen anything that points to him doing that. He hasnt even practiced yet and no, walking around with a helmet on isnt practicing.

lol. He's practiced getting that visored helmet over his face to block cameras, he's got that down.

My latest guess is they will work with him "off to the side" for the rest of this week and start rotating him into RB activities next week. I am leaning towards Velo - he'll be on the roster and play (but very limited #reps) in week 1. Jim and Greg LOVE solid vet experience.

But NH created a huge opportunity for OH to get many many more reps early than he would have. If OH dominates, he will continue to steal from Najee's share. but Gro does not believe in a single back offense, several RBs will get reps every game.

I assume there is now 100% agreement here that his injury was not superficial . Chargers "could" recoup money if he can't play because it was a reckless NFI, but I believe their 100% desire and goal is to get him playing and not claw money back.

Superficial if he plays week 1. That’s my take and stickin with it.

Maybe they don't want his eye to pop out of his head by taking a hit. Id say he isn't close if there's any truth to that lol

I'm expecting PUP list. Anything better than that is a plus.

“On August 15, Harris took a significant step forward by running and participating in drills with a football for the first time during training camp though these activities were done off to the side with an athletic trainer, not with the full team”

Sounds like recovery from the superficial wound is right on schedule and he didn’t need his eyeball reinserted and crazy glued afterwards.

Defining "superficial" without knowing what the actual injury was? Probably worse than burnt eyelashes, probably less damage than loss of the eyeball. So somewhere in between. I believe it's clear that both Najee and the Chargers intend for him to play this season.
Burns of the flesh take some time to heal and if it were me. I wouldn't think it superficial. When he resumes playing is anybody's guess. I'll take Oct 5.
