Fair to ask
proof will be in the pudding, well record
For me, starts with firing some coaches
followed by a smart aggessive off-season - both free agency and the draft
year 3 of Roman and Bozeman would be just setting yourself up for failure and cannot belive Jim Harbaugh is that stupid
FYI Bills are in worse cap situation than Ravens. Spottrac has them at +$3M, OTC has them at -$4M (over cap, like their name lol).
I was just messing around with OTC interactive with the Bills -- trying to figure out their cap
First, McGovern has a void contract - he is worth $4.8m if he is let go - but if they somehow sign him to a new deal, that "dead" number is reduced by only $1.8m -- and it will cost much more than $1.8m in a new contract. Have to think $25m signing bonus plus salary is easily $6m
I also noticed Dawson Knox - they could save $9m by cutting or trading -- interesting name opposite Gadsden. He is 30, some injury history not much money at all -comparitvely for a TE
I happen to agree but significant changes need to be made specifically finding a new offensive coordinator. It's painfully obvious GRo is not the answer.
Cam Hart and Tarheeb Still have overachieved, but I think we could definitely improve at the corner positions. If Hortiz is able to find a quality center and/or guard in free agency, I won't complain if a cornerback is the first-round pick if that player is clearly ranked higher than anyone else. The second and third rounds will be good spots to take linemen on both sides of the ball, anyway.
Of course we could find a quality corner in the second or third round and go lineman in the first. But I do think corner should be high on the list of priorities.
Greg Roman is exactly who we thought he was.
Justin Herbert is not who we thought he was.
We will need a new OC a new offensive line coach and a new DC.
A complete rebuild of the O line is needed including OTs. Can't rely on injured Pro-Bowlers.
Still need a legit #1 WR.
RB is still a question mark.
With the loss of Minter we can't sit on our hands on the D side of the ball.
Lots of issues and problems for Harbaugh and Hortiz to think about. It's going to be a long off season.
So many places the Chargers could use help at, definitely dump Roman. I don't know all the players that everyone says could make us a 11 or better win team but whatever the FO does, don't keep leaving Herbert out there to get hurt anymore. The team is built around his needs imo.
The one and done needs to become a thing that goes away. C, OG, back ups, TE, must be addressed as well as coordinator, that's a no brainer.. We're all getting to old ( at least I am ) to watch no improvements and nothing to show for it. I felt bad for the team yesterday. We should've made all the adjustments this off season.
Hortiz, it's up to you. Jim, it's up to you to hire someone who's more creative on offensive scheming an offence. Jim and Hortiz, resign the players we need to keep on defense as well. Edge, Nose Tackle., LB, OLB, corner . Whatever we need if we have cap money. You owe that to all of us on the TPB and the rest of the fans. We'd love to have a SB ring. Get it done...
We all agree on Roman needing to be fired as well.
So let’s agree, Roman needs to be fired and the interior offensive line needs to be revamped…
Em Kay?
