I would think we have to see how Oweh and Tuli would do without Mack. Not sure their performance would be as good. How much do you pay them. Are those two as good as Mack and Bosa were when healthy and playing well? Do we say goodbye to Mack and draft another pass rusher early? I like Mack but he is at that age where he could get injured again. Be great if we can keep all 3.

Tuli and Oweh were helped by Mack to be sure. Mack at this point still has value as he is so good at setting the edge, playing the run . But the Chargers do need to think longer term about adding that third Edge rusher to take the place of Mack and his skillset. In an optimum world, Mack is back at a reasonable price and the Chargers draft his replacement. Doesn't have to be R1 . Good pass rushers are helped by the IDL and dirt worker types. Like Bonitto and Cooper in Denver are helped by Zach Allen but also the other tackles. Houston, same thing.Originally posted by Florida fan View PostI would think we have to see how Oweh and Tuli would do without Mack. Not sure their performance would be as good. So does Mack need to be back? No Do they need somebody of his skillset to add to the Dline to help Oweh and Tuli - damn straight they do.

I think they are going to take a good look at G Brady Christensen. Torn Achilles in Oct. so we’ll see how he heals. He has elite athleticism for a G and we know that in McDaniels system, the Olinemen need to be able to move fluidly. When healthy he has continuously improved throughout his career. If they do sign somebody like Christensen, I do think they bring in somebody to challenge him for the starting spot.
I am more inclined to sign 2 Gs like Teven Jenkins and Dalton Risner to battle out for a starting spot on the line.

Jenkins has had injury history - but if healthy, I think he would be a solid upgrade over Zion.Originally posted by Boltinloudguy View PostI think they are going to take a good look at G Brady Christensen. But does he fit the blocking scheme under a Mike McD offense

Man i used to think Aiyuk would be the perfect fir for Justin. I know hes coming off a bad injury and some drama etc. But i cant think of a better way for him to put some polish back on his name. Niners say he is done and his contract is huge. Doubt a team trades for him. If he hits the market though?
I think when he is healthy he is really quite good.

Rather have Pickins myself over Aiyuk but both come with head baggage. Aiyuk imo is the worse evil of the two. At least Pickins shows up lol.Originally posted by Fleet 1 View PostMan i used to think Aiyuk would be the perfect fir for Justin. He has yes but he played in all 17 this year but he only started 4 games this season as opposed to being a full time starter before. If we can get better depth, him missing 3-4 games wont be a killer. Rather have him miss a few games than see Becton suck ass every game.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

I looked up PFF for Teven Jenkins -- 8 out of 81. Zion was 51 out of 81
Fwiw of course
Have to see who the new OL coach is and what scheme and all that
Popper was on a podcast with Insdorf/GAC guys and he thinks Zion will be back and is going to get paid pretty well based on guys like Fries and Banks last year.

God i hope not. I wouldnt mind if he were above average but he isnt. Lets just hope ....i hope anyway, Popper is wrong. To overpay for him would be bad.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View PostI looked up PFF for Teven Jenkins -- 8 out of 81. Zion was 51 out of 81

Im not advocating for Pickins either but i doubt we draft a WR in the first round. Hardly a big need....but depends on FA'cy as well. If it makes sense, sure but right now it dont make sense.Originally posted by Jack Burton View PostI don’t want Pipkins or Aiyuk. Both are known head case problems.
I want this guy Round 1.

He also isnt a burner though he is fast enough.
If MM wants a burner type WR he had in Miami, not sure this draft is where to look. Chris Bell is one but he isnt as fast as Waddle. Lemon has decent speed as well. Just seems that McDaniel loves speed in his offense.
