this is going so well, I know it's our own people and that's not sexy for some fans, but shit, pay attention these guys are all coveted by other teams, that ought to mean something to folks...grass ain't always greener, it looks like Zion might hit free agency and I'm okay with that as long as they get Oweh locked up we will have gotten our center and both of our Edge guys back, to me that's better than getting Linderbaum and maybe just Mack...this is way better, very excited and we are still going after a guard or two in free agency as well...things are looking awesome so far, very happy with how this is all unfolding...Originally posted by Xenos View Post"The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. I think this pretty much means that Mack will retire a Charger at this point, even if he decides to come back in 2027 I don't think he'll go anywhere else, he has now played longer for the Chargers than for any other team he has played for and I do believe he has more sacks as a Charger than wearing any other uniform too, but I'll have to check those numbers..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. They got what, roughly under 36 hours left before the legal tampering period begins? I think if they wanted Oweh and Zion, they can keep them both and still have room for a few more mid tier signings. Now if they do something crazy like trade for AJ Brown, which I still don’t believe, then yeah all bets are off.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

I double checked Macks sack numbers for his career, he had 40.5 as a Raider in 4 seasons, then he had 36 as a Bear in 4 seasons, he then had 36.5 as a Charger in 4 seasons, BUT he also had his career high 17 sacks as a Charger tying a franchise record set by Leslie O'neal and later also tied by Shawn Merriman...now that's played longer as a Charger than in any other uniform I feel confident that he'll shatter his personal high for sacks with a club with the Chargers, I also feel confident that he'll retire a Charger, if not after 2026 then maybe after 2027..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. I wonder if Maxx going to BALT, Oweh’s offers have cooled a bit and he’d rather play for the Chargers instead of a total crap team?

I think Philly is putting that out there to drive up the asking price on the Patriots...Brown doesn't fit the profile of the type of "person" that the Spanos or coach Harbaugh like on their team...Originally posted by Xenos View Post

I think Oweh and Zion will still be about price point. Mack -- he got the 18m so maybe a few million higher. But Zion and Oweh could be in the 15 to 20m range higher - now thats real money.Originally posted by Xenos View Post

I think there are pretty good options if Zion is not back -- Seumalo makes a lot of sense. Just have to see the numbers for Oweh and Zion

according to everything I've heard on podcasts and read online Oweh fell in love with the Chargers and LA, I know people are going to say that we paid too much for his services to be a Edge #3 but the truth is that he's going to get a shit load of snaps as Tuli goes inside a lot and when Mack hangs up the cleats he's going to take over that spot anyways so I have no issues with them paying him in the 20-23 mil APY as long as they can keep him around 3 years 69 mil sounds doable to me and that still leaves room to not only go after a couple of O-linemen in free agency but also to extend Tuli and Derwin in the summer...Originally posted by Jack Burton View PostI wonder if Maxx going to BALT, Oweh’s offers have cooled a bit and he’d rather play for the Chargers instead of a total crap team?"The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Hortiz has been able to reliably get value in just about every signing, trade or negotiation that he's been involved in so far...he missed on Poona right after hitting on Poona big time, I think he's learned from that experience and he's going to try to keep his guys from hitting the market as best he can without doing anything irresponsible, when the numbers come in, it might surprise some folks at how reasonable those numbers might be...everything I've read is that both Oweh and Zion would like to remain Chargers, we'll see...Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

I agree that the Charger's interest in Brown could be phantom. And I agree Brown doesn't fit the personality profile usually welcome by Spanos or Harbaugh.Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View PostI think Philly is putting that out there to drive up the asking price on the Patriots...Brown doesn't fit the profile of the type of "person" that the Spanos or coach Harbaugh like on their team...
Nonetheless I suspect there's a chance McDaniel has more tolerance for such types, and could appreciate what a true #1 WR might mean to the offense.
Personally I'd rather see them find another way to get to the same objective rather than Brown, but I can see what their trying to scratch.Driving the Nadame Tucker bus.
