Jaydon Blue's career fumble rate at Texas was approximately one fumble every 26-30 touches. Specifically, he had eight fumbles in his 214 career touches as a Longhorn, leading to a fumble every 26.7 touches. In 2024, he fumbled four times in 134 carries, resulting in one fumble every 33.5 touches…..

jaydon blue is getting more notice, but he's simply not a guy you want to run between the tackles, so he's not an option here.Originally posted by Jack Burton View Post

I keep on going back to the problem against Houston, the interior couldn't block and there was no 2nd option for Herbert.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post
I think Popper is just going off the fact that James signed for the vet minimum so nobody around the league was saying "sign him off 2023" - he was signed off 2024
I don't disagree with Popper either about LG from the draft - I just don't think he needs to be in Rounds 1-3
if it is - fine. But it doesn't NEED to be based on Harbaugh trenches nonsense
I think those two thing get addressed early on Thursday/Friday .... a disruptor on the dline being the only possible other option.
If Becton goes down, where will they be?
99% sure it won't be Grant.

Chargers also had zero receiving options other than Ladd McConkey - so TE and WR are also needs. Like you said, interior pass rush could be bolstered. Depth at Edge. CB and RB tooOriginally posted by powderblueboy View Post

The Chargers have enough needs that they don't need to be locked in on position.
Personally, with signing Becton - I think the biggest needs on the roster are WR and TE

I agree WR and TE are needs the million-dollar question is when in the draft are they going to address those needs. People seem to think because it is a need they will address those positions early in the draft. I'm not so sure.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

Personally, with signing Becton - I think the biggest needs on the roster are WR and TE1) Cut Becton, Boz(ret), Dissly, DD, Fisk, and Dupree
2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). Jenkins (OG- 12m)

Address them later and you are far more likely to miss.Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

Sure, if you are going to find someone who will start on day 3, choose that option.

I am going with the DeCosta philosophy and thinking Hortiz will follow the sameOriginally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

look at the board - see who they have as best players
and if close -- taking need
if there is a true stellar player on the board - they will pick that player
I can evne see Emmanwori the pick possibly

I bet if the Chargers don't get the WR they want within the first three rounds they probably sign Keenan!Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

No rookie is bumping Ladd from our top receiving target and we already upgraded TE receiver.. Need has been reduced by FA signings at WR, RB, TE, IOL, DL, LB and CB.Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

Hortiz will be taking BPA that fits and upgrades his existing team Rd 1 he'll want a player that will start or play a lot of reps as a rookie. It will depend on players gone, players remaining on Hortiz' draft board.

In regard to WR there is no reason to push for a WR early. They signed MW and they have Rice who has been written off by most of the fans. Plus they still have FA's that are available. No need to push it IMHO.Originally posted by sonorajim View Post

And my guess there are too many fans that want to pass on WR - like Tmac or Ebuka just to have an excuse for the team to sign "Slayer"Originally posted by electricgold View Post

I am pretty sure Tyler from the GAC podcast is thinking this way. Hold off on WR until R4 so they can bring back Allen.
