"Roster voids", "holes"? BS. We're overstocked at every position and have to cut 37 football players.
There will be occasional opportunities to upgrade depth all year. Starters- rarely, very rarely.
At the cut to 53 I'd guess less than 4 How Joe Blow fits can be an issue.
No one is cutting their best players at reduction time and the concept that any of our starters are garbage is garbage.
Hortiz best bet will be to find maybe a couple depth among the discards.

Easy now . . . . . . . . . we may be overstocked with bodies at every position, but we need quality, not just quantity. TT got us plenty of quantity every year, but the quality wasn't there. This is a 2 year process - always was and still is. I'm impressed that it 'appears' that H&H have managed to plug as many hole as they have, but then again - I was high on Moore last offseason too, so what do I know??

I don't think I was saying anything reckless. Joe Hortiz has been adding and dropping players on an almost daily basis during camp. I see no reason to believe that will change when final cuts are made, and there is a flood of players for Hortiz to consider.

I think it's common at cut down time-- COMMON!-- for at least two guys who made the final 53 to be cut in favor of a waiver claim. Given Joe's proclivity for 'churning', I don't think it's unreasonable at all to think that it could be four this year. It might NOT be four, but it's not outrageous to speculate that it could be. I doesn't upset me if you feel differently, you know? I think there's room for reasonable minds to disagree without resorting to saltiness.

My exception was to players being referred to as "voids" and "holes". Restrain yourself to comments like "Stick struggled to complete a pass vs Seattle in that scrimmage" and I may join in the discussion or not but will feel no salt being rubbed in a wound by unvarnished truth.
