Coaches are wowed by Gadsden's ability to beat legit NFL DBs (and not just backup LBs) and stretch the field, vs Conk and Diss taking 3 yard crosses and hitches underneath the second level LBs and being "tackled" immediately. I have yet to see a single Dissley reception video clip posted since the first OTAs, has anyone seen one? And the only Conk clips I have seen, often captioned with effusive promotional excitement, are 3 yard cross and hitch routes underneath the LB where he is immediately "downed". Meanwhile, Gadsden is killing DBs and creating separation and making athletic catches all over the field.

Do not fear the rookie, is my counter-effusive-hype to the cautionary tamp downs now spreading in TPB about OG. I know what an OG is, I watched Boyz In Da Hood.
    I enjoyed your post.
It's not out of the question.
Spags KNOWS we will be a run heavy offense and will prepare for it
...and G Ro knows he knows....
...and we probably go run heavy with a few surprises mixed in.
Very much looking forward to a W over KC in Brazil.
(our D is effing bad ass once again)

A tight end doesn't need to just out boat race or juke little cbs, he can also beat the shit out of them with a well placed forearm or an ample butt shove, or position himself so that he blocks the little fuckers out and has suction cups to vacuum anything up in his orbit.

Sure, put a cb on him.
But all this needs a few years.
He's out boat racing and juking now, and when everything comes together you can still put him out there if he can't block snot.

Having one less guy in the box to protect against seem routes is an effective block.

Isn't Taylor Swift's bitch a bad online blocker, but very effective on the move?

Won't surprise me if Gadsden is a stud starting week 1. Also won't surprise me if he becomes Herbert's #2 receiver next to McConkey.

Andy sure thinks so, he was constantly subbing him out for a large TE lump on run plays.

I know it may take OG longer, I just don't discount its possible it takes less time than many expect. He won't pull down 10 RECs a game in Sept, but I expect more than zero. He is the only TE on our team thats 250 and is that type of receiver.

Agree, he will get some snaps but Conklin is going to start. Maybe by mid season he becomes more a force.

The best offense is the one the D knows is coming but can’t stop anyway.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
              Let’s win one for Mack.

I think people are overlooking Conklin. He is a proven, dependable TE with great hands and he is going to quickly become a go to target from Herbert. This isn't to take anything away from OG as I think his future is bright - I just think he will be eased in, especially as his blocking is a work in progress.

You guys are drinking the TC coolaid for sure.

I also think this entire board is sleeping on Conklin.

Dude is a beast, a VETERAN beast who never drops the ball.

Conklin was a nice, solid pick-up. He should allow Dissly to go back to being a primary blocker and secondary option at receiver while giving Gadsden time to learn the position.

I am going to the Thursday night game Chargers vs. The Vikings. I am from Minnesota. Came to San Diego in 1979. So, I am a 4-time Super Bowl loss sufferer. I am now on the Charger bandwagon. I was hoping someone could help with some information. I will be driving up to SoFi from Del Mar and I am wondering how much time I should allow for the drive and get parked in time for the 5:10pm kickoff? Any advice as to where the best (reasonable and convenient) parking place would be?
