For all the wheeler dealers, just a few facts….

    The Chargers are 3-0.

Najee really played very little. He looked like he was coming on, but it’s not like he was 70% of the offense or anything. Chargers just need a competent fill in for Hampton when he needs a breather.

Mack will be back in a month or so. Chargers have an easier part of the schedule coming up, I think. They beat the Broncos without Mack and they can win some more games until he is ready.
Like, how am I a traitor? Your team are traitors.

Sometimes the opportunities to make it to the promise land will just not repeat themselves for a very very long time again. I am so glad the that we have the JHs as opposed to those other lame funks from those yesteryears!
      Agree with Factotum here.
TT would sit on his hands, other than rummaging through the dumpsters.

However, can anyone here think of a throwing in the chips type of move midseason that was key in winning a Super Bowl?

The Rams getting Weddle cost them nothing. Chargers bringing in Chris Chambers got them to the AFC championship game - but not the Super Bowl.
The Colts bringing in Anthony McFarland in 2006, which solidified their run D, is the only time I can remember.

They have faced some average to bad offenses so far ..... like last year, the Charger D looks imposing early, but hasn't really been tested yet.

Agree with you in that they don't need another stud RB .... all the Breece Hall talk needs to go away.

The Giants with Eluemanor - RT - might do the same. A late day 3 pick
Zeitler could be in play but do the Chargers need OG? Maybe not today but if the problems persist with Becton, why not?

I don't see a big trade like Trey H. You never know. Or even Kamara. But players that are in the last year of contracts, on teams that are going nowhere and the team can get back some compensation for them.
Saints I don't see anybody is a fit unless they trade Ruiz or McCoy for the IOL.

I like this idea, but I don’t think they trade for an Olinemen. I can see them signing somebody like Brandon Scherff or Shaq Mason if they have been staying in shape. I think Deculus played admirably. I also think they missed Dissly pretty bad when it came to blocking this past week.

A Zeitler trade would have to be if Becton is out because he’s not coming here to be a backup.

I think an Arden Key trade could work, he’s had his moments and he would just be rotational.

I’m curious what they are going to do as far as Edge this week. Continue to roll with Kennard to get him reps against a weak Giants OLine, or elevate Weaver or Ferrell?

When our featured back, JK Dobbins went down last year the offense then, admittedly not as loaded with weapons with a gimpy Herbert, really started to struggle. Gus was ineffective and spent, the other backs were all spotters not starters and not very good at their primary roles either. Omarion is now officially the O's bell-cow.

I have not looked to memorize the schedule beyond week 7 when we meet up with the Colts but as things stand today, the Commanders and then the Colts will be our tougher and then perhaps the toughest challenges to come. If we keep winning with the Nov 4th trade deadline looming, despite getting Mack back, I think that it will be a prudent insurance policy for Hortiz and Harbaugh address their most crucial areas of need. I had said earlier than I am generally opposed to mortgaging the future but while holding two opposing thoughts at the same time, I also know that winning is contagious and a more loaded future team may not perform as well as a current "lesser" squad. JMO.

Sorry to say the Packers are not winning every game with Parsons. As a matter of fact there's no guarantee they will beat out a resurging detroit team. The way you mortgage teams and spend money like a drunken sailor scares the hell out of me.
This has nothing to do with Micah Parsons, whose team didn't win this weekend because the unstoppable offense you described last week couldn't put up more than 10 points on Sunday. This about not wanting to trade a premium pick on a #2 running back when we just invested a first-round s******** on Hampton.

Ah so they did.......my mistake but Penix still wasnt good. Had him on my FF team and he scored me 2.5 points so i dropped him. Only had 135 passing yards. ATL had over 200 rushing yards. It was McCarthy who was awful but Penix hasnt been very good thus far. 2 of his 3 games have been lackluster.

I like this take and that’s why I’m advocating for Tyler Allgeier and then extend him. I’d send a 5th and Vidal at them. Buuuuut, I do think they are going to give Vidal a legitimate shot at proving himself.

I like the depth at Edge that Hortiz brought in.

I do hope they bring in some more Oline depth.

I like Hall and would trade for him for a mid rounder but not a 2nd. Hec id even take Braelon Allen for a late pick. He is almost as big as Najee, only 21 years old.

Yeah, I’d almost rather just grab Allen and pair him with Hampton.
