Yea, they keep writing things that are highly annoying and bad takes. Harbaugh is Harbaugh, not going to get much out of him when it comes to injuries. You can tell he’s frustrated but he will never throw anybody under the bus publicly. They will deal with it internally.

I dont expect the Chargers to have a back up as good as Joe Alt at LT, but I do expect them to have someone somewhat competent and better than practice squad fodder Austin Derulus when they had the chance to build o line depth before the season started and inevitable o line injuries occured.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post
Riverwalk makes fair points
But a lot of posters are also saying "that because of injuries, Romans might have to adapt to help the back-ups." That is all I am saying
I don't expect Deculus to be as good as Alt or Slater or even Pipkins. But, why not help out the OTs especially against a good pass rush of the Giants,. Or call different plays to make up for the fact there are injuries
As for me wanting to trade for better depth - I would want that even if Slater and Alt were healthy if the opportunity presents itself.
For those talking about it being fine over 17 games, do you think our franchise QB will be healthy for those 17 games if he keeps taking hits and pressures at an NFL record level pace?
Will it be time to spazz out when Herbert is injured Riverwalk?
Do you think the front office could find a lineman that could protect Herbert a little better than Austin fucking Durulus?

Popper had the tweet that Herbert has been hit/pressured 46 times the last two games, next closest is Flacco at 35. Thats not sustainable.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

Protect Herbert at all costs. If that means 6 OL and a TE only one RB with two WRs -- fine by me!

"And while it was impossible to predict that the three best players on the offensive line would all be hurt by Week 4, it wasn't impossible to predict that Bozeman and Johnson would create problems. Even if those three were playing, teams would attack and expose the Johnson-Bozeman tandem.
The Chargers were hoping to lean on the top-line offensive line talent to get away with not adding more interior offensive line help. In this hope, the Chargers seemingly forgot that injuries are common in football, and there should have been a built-in safety measure to at least shoulder some of this burden.
But alas, the Chargers find themselves in an even worse offensive line position than they were in eight months ago, and Harbaugh is parroting the same "we weren't good enough" comments.?

I don't feel like he's sounding like a broken record. As bad as Sunday stunk and it freaking reeked, we are still 3-1 and 3-0 in the Division. It's easy to argue that they should've done more for the interior line if you're not the one having to balance the checkbook. No GM nor HC can accurately predict injuries and we have had a shit ton. Right now it sucks but we have what we have. I don't blame Harbaugh or Hortiz.Originally posted by electricgold View PostAfter losing to an 0-3 team with a qb making his first start with the main frustrating is stated clearly in following article....

Yep totally agree about the frustration in losing your top 3! But when the first thing Harbuagh says when hired is they need to protect Herbert, and then resign Pip, and Bozeman! and add and draft a bunch of journeymen for depth it only adds to the frustration.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

The depth on our Oline is at a USFL level. Give Harbaugh good solid players and he'll win no doubt about it! But give him USFL level olineman and well you know the rest.

Herbert is on pace to be HIT 140 times . He is on pace to be pressured 295 times on drop backs. These woud be the highest numbers in NFL history.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

That is malpractise with your franchise's most important player and asset.
This is professional football, you cant throw up your hands when you get injuries. Do something...something better than below replacement level players like Austin Derulus

I didn't know you had to personally like the person who writes the article or be non-bias to even consider or read what is being stated, or it was a high school paper? I know nothing about the source of the writer.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post
Not even clicking on that link to the highschool paper.
either way the words that are written in the high school paper are spot on.

If we were Major League Baseball we could throw as much money as we wanted at it to fix the problem. But in the NFL, there's a salary cap and you have to fit 53 players plus a practice squad under it. Then after you make the math work you have to be damn lucky that the guys you selected both live up to their salary AND stay injury free. This also has to be done while 31 other teams are vying for the best of the bests services. Blaming the HC and GM when one or these doesn't work isn't really justifiable, in my opinion.Originally posted by electricgold View Post

Jets came out last night with 6 OL and a TE and ran the ball down Miami's throat until the dude fumbled near the end zoneOriginally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

With the way Herbert has been hit, with the way Hampton runs, - I wouldn't mind smashing a little mouth football

Boltbeat for some reason has visibilty, but is mostly looking for clicks. His opinions are not that different than what we have here on The Powder Blues, but members here aren't looking for ad revenue.Originally posted by electricgold View Post
