I love Vidal and what he's done for this team, but in this game, if Hampton is really at full strength, I want to see 20 carries from him and five from Vidal. That's nothing against Kimani. It's more about how great I think Hampton is.

That 65 yard average per game got you stirred up, eh?Originally posted by DerwinBosa View Post

An average that was skewed by the first couple of games adjusting to the NFL with absolutely no run blocking?
At the time Hampton was injured he was leading all NFL rookies in yards from scrimmage

I think in the first half - pretty equal. If they are still running in the second half , give it to the player running the ball betterOriginally posted by DerwinBosa View Post

I want to build up the carries for Hampton - don't overwork him too early in this game
It worked for the Bears to split the carries

Yes, I saw his stats and Joe Alt played LT for all his games.Originally posted by CanadianBoltFan View Post

The OL run blocking is inferior with Salyer so why you think it’s going to be improved is puzzling.
Here’s what else I saw. 4 out of his 5 games he averaged 46.5 yards per game and 1 game he had 128 yards.
I see you and many others expect him to play like that 1 exceptional game in his first game after injury versus his 4 mediocre games.
I think the odds favor my point of view and I like facts versus fantasy.

If they are running 25+ times I can promise you, they will have more than 2.0 yard/carry. IMHO, if they are running that much that means the game is close or they are leading and they are having succuss on the ground. That's why under Harbaugh if the Chargers have 25+ carries they are 16 or 17-1.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post
I agree
yards per carry is very important. Can't run it 25 times for 53 yards
but rushing attempts is a big deal. because if you can still run the ball -- even for an average ypc - you are probably still in the game
25+ carried - if not over 30 - would be ideal1) Cut Becton, Boz(ret), Dissly, DD, Fisk, and Dupree
2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). Jenkins (OG- 12m)
