I like the idea of it a lot. Hampton, Vidal, Harris, that would be a kick-a$$ RB trio, maybe the toughest in the league. But Harbaugh/McDaniel/Hortiz may think differently. Or another team may offer Harris more, though it does seem doubtful his value is very high right now. Harris over Haskins IMO. Haskins does some nice things - his running interference for McConkey on the play that won the Miami game is an example - but as a ball carrier he's almost useless. We'll see.Originally posted by DerwinBosa View PostExactly. He's very likely going to receive less money this year, so I see no reason why we can't bring him back to compete to be one of the four running backs.

Yep...hard to understand Harbo's fixation with keeping subpar or poor players on the roster...Boze needed to go, and Haskins and Matblock are meh...anyone else I missed?Originally posted by Velo View Post

All the best to Bozeman!Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post

I hope Boze does well in retirement. I am sure it sucked for him to be the vitriol of the fans as no doubt he was doing his best. But the change needed to be made thats for sure. So good luck to him - hope he has a nice retirement - best for both parties.
It is so much easier to be nice to him when you are not watching him get our franchise QB killed every week 😁

We will see where Najee's health is but there are many ways the team can go to fill out the RB room after Hampton and Vidal.Originally posted by Velo View Post

One thing is for sure...they can do better than Haskins at #3 even if he does "the little things" I think a speed element in MM's offense might be more interesting than a plodder.

Najee? grand total 61 yards last season? No thanks. of course he puts out a video showing his run speed now. But this is March and no one hits you now. This is him just begging to keep him around. Average beneficial life span of a RB is 3 years. He is way over and the stats prove it. We need to stop our love affair with an awesome roster on paper and field a team that beats the crap out of the opponents. Dan Fouts played with a broken and bleeding nose. Kellen Winslow went in on defense after getting exhausted on offense. And performed. Hampton should also have a wake up call.

Najee was a very solid signing. Super unfortunate that his achilles ruptured. I wouldn't bring him back. I hope he healed up well and wish him good luck.
Bozeman had himself a decent NFL career. He was available for almost every start as a Charger and that is an ability. But I think he knew writing was on the wall. If he wanted to continue football it would be as a backup. Might as well move on with life after making some NFL money.Who has it better than us?
