Evans ixn't- and never has been- the speed merchant that's been the missing ingredient in Herb's arsenal, but the guy is a great receiver.

Still, I'd rather the $$$ it would take to sign him were invested at a different position, although if Linderbaum and Oweh elect to sign elsewhere, the money will be spent SOMEwhere.

      Depth RB possibility...decent runner

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports RB Sean Tucker will not receiver a restricted tender from the Buccaneers, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Tucker was set to be a restricted free agent, but the Buccaneers declined to give him a $3.5 million tender. The 24-year-old will now hit free agency after two seasons of showing flashes of promise in a crowded backfield. Tucker saw limited opportunities behind Rachaad White and Bucky Irving, but developed into a short-yardage back in 2025. Fantasy managers got big games out of him twice. Once with 17 touches for 192 yards and two touchdowns against the Saints in 2024, and again with 21 touches for 140 yards and three touchdowns against the Bills in 2025. Tucker will generate interest from teams looking to add a bruising back to their committee in 2026.

I think Hortiz will make the one big signing of Linderbaum.
Then fill out roster like he has done the past 2 years. Where he finds players that didn't need a massive contract to add to the roster like he didn't with Tart, Hand, Jackson, Dupree, Dye, St.Juste, Najee.

As for Guard spots around Linderbaum. There is Strange, Rhyan, Teller, Ingram and others that could be added. And of course Zion could return but I'm guessing Hortiz has a value on him that he won't go far above.

Oweh is not worth 25M a year if you have to add Mack or a Mack type to set the edge so that Oweh can take credit for the clean up sacks. I do concede that Oweh can potentially garner 12+ sacks in the right system with the right personnel around him but 25M+19M = 44M in total. Tuli is our main Man now, so let's build around him. JMHO.

The tripartite of Herbert-McDaniel-Harbaugh makes the Chargers the most enticing WR destination in FA IMO.

He'd be Mike Williams on steroids.

We may just have to draft Edge and DT.

20 mil a year for Bote Mafe is robbery. 19 for Shaheed is extremely high as well. Some of those guys imo will not get what's posted there..12.5 for McGovern is do for a 4-5 year deal
Trade down 2 times. Hortiz in pressor said he hopes to get more pics!

I could see that. Linderbaum and then some lower signings. James Daniels could be in that group also if his health checks out. He used to be a good guard before injuries

IF we are going after Pierce,..... Which I have a hard time seeing,.... We surely aren't going after Linderbaum and id think it will be McGovern.

Here is a possibility for our TE room that had a great season in Miami with MM

                        Steelers released TE Jonnu Smith.

Smith’s release will save the Steelers $7 million in cap space for 2026. With former offensive coordinator Arthur Smith headed to Ohio State, the Steelers are moving off of their tight end-heavy room as Smith enters the fray once more. He was used in a multitude of ways with the Steelers last season, though it led to minimal fantasy value and a 38/222/2 receiving line for the year. The 30-year-old should find suitors on the open market to enhance a tight-end room’s receiving abilities.

Do we have any OL on this team besides the two crippled OT's?
