Alec Ingold and Charlie Kolar are not big names, but they ARE big upgrades at their respective positions, and therefore are going to improve how the offense functions. Liabilities have been converted to assets.

Tyler Biadasz? Again, significant upgrade. Likewise, a Day 1 or Day 2 guard in next month's draft-- practically a certainty-- brings the rebuild of the O-line within sight of the finish line. I'm not hand-wringing over the state of the blocking game.

FB Ingold * bless you Mr. Matlock and thank you Alec.... gotta be another upgrade here for us
WR Keenan, Ladd, Harris, QJ, KLS, Derius * know some of you think Allen is backsliding, and.... think again, and.... the others are all still on an upward tick
TE Oronde, Kolar, Jonnu Smith, Tucker Fisk * if so, don't see any backsliding here, albeit we do need to replace Will's fiftysomething catches here.... (and we will)
LT Rashawn * def a red herring, if not red alert, as woulda liked Josh Jones here, and as outside of the first round, am dubious 'bout the draft as a swing tackle resource.... hoping for a June 1 designation here
LG Strange, Ben Cleveland * perhaps a drop off from Zion, and then again we might be better suited for what lies ahead con McUltra & Co.
OC Biada Yada Yada, Parker Brailsford, Bryce Foster * if there's a bigger or better upgrade, it's could only be one thing, and it ain't re: our personnel.... 'tis the other OC.... (let's go)
RG Penning, Keylan Rutledge * it was only one game, and.... Trevor outplayed Mekhi, and fwi may be worth, and yes.... still an upgrade here over Becton, and the draft could even add emphasis to that
RT Joe, Pips * think the latter is Joe's lone mistake so far, and might notta even been him, as it coulda been Jim that weighed in on things, and.... still better w/Alt back than we were

NT Jamaree, Dalvin * leavin' a lotta talent in the draft on board here, and.... a Tomlinson has worked well for us before, and think 'tis safe to say that he is an upgrade over Naquan
DT Teair, Eboigbe * we lost Da'Shawn 'n Otito here, and so yes, think we might need to add here.... do they want Caleb Banks, will they settle for Peter Woods, or.... do we not need more for our star/money packages
ED Khalil, Tuli, Bud, Kennard * 'nother spot where you can point to a drop off without Oweh, and.... wonderin' if O'Leary is good w/four here for now
ILB Denzel, Junior * yet another spot that does not bode well for us unless we add here.... least far as I'm concerned
OLB Daiyan, Dye, Del'Shawn, Marlowe * don't think the latter makes the 53 here, and.... we have lost no ground here, and may have gained if Henley is better emotionally than he was of last
SAF Derwin, Molden, Mickens, Kendall, Tony * again we have lost no ground here, and may gain ground w/the growth of RJM
CB Donte Jackson, Tarheeb, Cam, Nikko Reed, Deane Leonard * can we recover from losing St. Juste and not upgrading Leonard.... sure seems like we're ripe for an add here given the such

ST Cam, Scott, Harris * plenty of peoples are expecting/looking for trouble w/JKS, albeit personal suspicion is that is unlikely
Keenan, Ladd, Harris, QJ, KLS, Derius

KA can still play, but is slow and does not fit the scheme and takes targets away from Ladd
Derius is NOT a good WR and has lost enough speed that he is not a threat as a returner.... and at 165 is too small to take a beating in the NFL... we need an upgrade at SPEED WR/PR..... Keaton can do our KR job

Popper also doesn’t think McDaniel will leave after one season if things go right. Hopefully not since the entire offensive staff is McDaniel’s, as well as all the offensive players picked up in FA.
My sentiments exactly. Coaches of his brought in, contact lengths for his player types.... Would love 2 years at least. That gets us those picks if he leaves after that.
I'll take longer if our O is spectacular.

Popper says that is nothing? its fine to say its not as much as X did or he could have done more etc., but its not nothing.

I wish they'd resigned Oweh a lot more than Zion. Zion ain't worth $17M.

            Popper stopped reporting
The problem is that LT1 and RT1 both had serious season ending injuries, and the IOL has issues since 2023. Popper brought up all the positives that you mentioned in his article, but the lack of investment in OG definitely is one reason for the confusing.

Also that Anonymous quote was from someone else.

Hey Bolt4Knob, I guess Hand has the potential to count towards a comp pick if he meets a certain snap threshold. At least according to Popper.

This was an element in how the Chargers approached the interior of their defensive line. They signed Dalvin Tomlinson to a one-year deal with $6 million guaranteed. Tomlinson was cut by the Arizona Cardinals, so he does not factor into the formula. The Chargers let Da’Shawn Hand leave to sign a one-year, $3 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons. Hand is eligible to factor into the formula. At the moment, Hand did not sign for enough money to factor into the formula, according to Over the Cap. However, if he plays enough snaps for the Falcons in 2026, he could meet the threshold.

For the formula, players are ranked largely on contract value, with snap counts accounting for a fraction of a percent of the final point total. But that fraction of a percent is enough to bump a player in or out if that player is on the fringes. Hand is on the fringes.

I don’t think he’s got Mike Williams on his bingo card, man. I could easily see why they were offering Pierce and looking at Shaheed, but these old guys got to go out to pasture. It’s just time.

Trade for AJ Brown or draft an alpha X WR.

What are your thoughts on Boston? He reminds me of Brown or even Williams to an extent. Dude is ridiculous in the Red Zone.

My prediction, they are going to trade for AJ Brown but it will be after June 1st. Brown's cap hit drops from 40m to 20m after June 1st because it's split over 2 years.
Dead cap hit...... And that's for Philly, not us. Still doubt we are trading.. two high picks for him unless one is this year and one in 2028. ....or one is in 2027.

3rd this year, 1st in 2028. ... When they getting a QB to mentor to prepare for getting rid of Hurts lol.

Is he is the target we will see how creative Hortiz gets.

By June 2nd I bet they can get that trade down to 2 2’s. Or a 1st and a 4th.

After watching this, I just wonder if that is why they don’t have this huge value on the G position, cause they think with motion and these guys doing what they do, they can give Herbert all kinds of quick, easy button outlets to get rid of the football.
